I mentioned to a fellow tiger fan a few weeks back that i rated this fella better than thursty and he fell off his chair. Has alot of tricks in the bag does Kel, is great in contested situation and bloody creative in heavy traffic, picking out good options with the footy. In my book he's now way ahead of thursty in value to the side. Full marks for the improvement he has shown...it started in VFL final series and was launched with that hanger in the nAB cup game v the saints...Keep it up son, big asignement this week on Ryan O'keefe:thumbsu:

i wouldnt say hes better than thursty but i do rate him quite highly. hes done some super jobs this year most notably the job he did on franklin. kept him to 1 goal and very few touches and got 0 credit for it

Mind you Saturday night wasnt Thursty's finesty hour but I agree. Kel is developing nicely but a smidge behind Will still. I am impressed how tall he plays too for a guy that moves as well as he does.

right on that, was shown up once or twice. One time right in front of where I was sitting, Moore weaved beautifully out of trouble and gave off a looping handball, admittedly had some hang time but when thursty got he bloody hatched it waiting for an option to appear with a holding ball against us...That spells out the diff

For some reason even last year I though Kel had the goods to cement a spot in our side. Don't ask me why:eek: I know he still has a way to go but is contributing every week and is getting better.

He's done an excellent job and seems to have avoided the wrath of irate Tigers fans which means he must be doing more right than wrong:thumbsu:

I agree.

Moore is gaining so much confidence, he is slowly but surely becoming Mr Reliable

He beats his opponents, has pace, a strong lad and of late has been charging up the ground

He is playing more so like Scarlett in that he runs off his opponent

Thurstfield has been reluctant to do that

Biggest improver :thumbsu:

Most important players who have made the biggest difference to the club this year from last year.

1. Simmons - yes, Patto was Ok, but this is the #1
2. Richo - main improvement is not playing in the forward line - he has become a good midfielder(!) and the forward line is developing.
3. Moore - excellent - big surprise
4. Deledio - 100% improvement - this guy is good.

Moore is continually suprising all of us. Most of us, myself included, wouldnt have been disappointed had he been delisted last year. But hes really improved, and looks more and more like the modern prototype for a defender: can play tall or small, fast, rebounding, above average skills and strong for a guy as agile as he is.

Mind you, we were all on the very similar jackson bandwagon this time last year thanks to his tagging jobs and where has he disappeared to? Fingers crossed Moore keeps improving because if he doesnt Rance will soon surpass him and he may lose his spot.

i have to take my hat off to moore, at the end of last year i wanted him to be delisted, and im happy to say i was wrong, he has really stepped up this year deserves his spot on the side, aslong as he doesnt try and kick goals :P

but id have to say will is alot better player. will always gets the no.1 forward and does a good job, he did pretty good on the weekend alot better than the 4 goals stated that was kicked against him, i though the frees against him were a load of shit. i love the way the hands in the back rule is only called 1 out of 10 times this year

IMO he doesn't have a large bag of tricks, he just a footballer, who goes amongst it each game and gets his job done. Has had fantastic improvement since last year. Has towelled up O'Keefe in the past so hopefully he can do it again this week. O'Loughlin is Thursty's bunny too :thumbsu:

IMO he doesn't have a large bag of tricks,:

when a defender, can win a contest, take speccies, evade in heavy traffic and take good options with the pill, thats not a bad kit bag my friend, is there anything I left out:eek:

and if Rance can be an improvement on this bloke then LOOK OUT

The round one game, I wrote on this board, that I thought he was in our top 5 players for the game and got canned. His workrate, and timing, to assist Thursty at times as the third man up is exceptional, has gone past McGuanne extremely quickly as our 3rd best tall defender and with Polak's form comfortably sits at number 2. If Rance can develop and is as good as all reports think it might be the making of our side, as I reckon Schultz can make it as a full forward, especially with Richo now on a wing.

It was obvious Moore would be a quality player last year. The bomber game late last year showed how good a rebounder he is. He has great pace, great leap and an excellent spoiler of the ball. He needs to work on his kicking a bit as he does turn the ball over occasionally. He'll only get better

goal kicking that is, his field kicks are ok:D

i think we are all forgetting that Kel was born with a disability that he has had to live with up until recently

the scourge of the dreaded RED HAIR!!!:D

what a champ fighting against odds like that:thumbsu:

he's bleached it now and has a pleasant strawberry cream of a head these days :o

Yep, my guilty hand is raised.
I had totally written Kel off last year.
Opened my gob several times stating - expertly - "He just cannot play at all, why is he getting a game?"

Very happy to confirm I have absolutely no clue about footy.

Kel has been great. Another one off the Rookie List. Any chance of us bypassing the National Draft and just participating in the Rookie Draft in the future!

foley, king, thursfield, moore

off the top of my head i think they are all rookie listed

does the same recruitment guy pick for both drafts??
