Kepler's upside is huge. However, physically I don't think he is able or ready to play at AFL level yet. Given time certainly. His physical development is at the embryonic stage and I would have liked to see him get up some confidence in the VFL, learn the pace of the game and improve his skills before being thrust into the limelight.

I think sometimes people expect to much immediately from high draft picks. Take Collingwood with Josh Fraser for example. Chris Judd's don't occur often.

You say not to bag him pevers but you just repeated everything i said. I think he will develop into a solid footballer. My only gripe is that we used the highest pick we have had in 7 years to get him.

Who would you have picked?

wanted tenance

but think club did the right thing

we will have an abundance of quality talls for years

hille
bradley
laycock
cartledge
johns

good insurance

i think winderlich and stanton will be the pacy players we need

winderlich , reynolds, watson and stanton = enough

clubs thinking

no bradley would not have been around at 13. there is no way he would have been. geelong wanted him badly.

the thing is we get stanton who is a ****ing good player and bradley who also is a ****ing good TALL player

tenance better now than stanton but who knows in the future

definently a risk worth taking

reynolds is the key , he will be a ****ing star

being in WA is saw kepler first hand on occasions in the WAFL. he is the most ungamely looking player i have ever seen...but luckily that means nothing. he finds the ball easily and is a good athlete (not as good as some make him out to be). in some respects he would be a whole lot better off if he was 10cm shorter....then he would be viewed and play as a flanker/ wingman which he is. being the size of a ruckman has every1 including himself baffled IMO.

ive seen him in the some wizzer games and to be honest didnt look anything special....however as alot of poeple as saying taller players take longer to develop. i think you guys will have a absolute gun or a mediocre player. he wont be able to play wing IMO...altough he is agile for his size, he is not a patch on smaller wingman when the ball hits the ground.

I actually went to primary/high school with Kepler, so its good to see him get a game and get drafted. The funny thing is when he was younger is was a mad sydney supporter

Good to see Kepler had a pretty good game in the magoos on the weekend. Absolutely tore it up from all reports.
Not bad stats: 15k 13m 13h 28 possies playing as a ruck and KPP.
I reckon he will become a very good player as he is an absolute goer. A chance for this week.

didn't get picked and rightly so.

He was given a taste in rnd 2 and thats fine, it makes him hungry to get back there.

BUT, sounding like a broken record - he needs time to develop.

I just hope they got this one right. We have a history of squandering our first round picks....

I've been watching a bit of this kid play, and thought this thread was worthwhile to look at again late into the season.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that young Bradley looks like a huge Tarantula running along, all long arms and legs?

Best part I've seen so far is that the kid can find a bit of the ball
