High standards from the Crows? Second longest GF drought in the comp, you are the second last team that should be talking about high standards!
Flippant comment.
Do you realise how hard it is to win a Granny?
This is NOT a minnow SANFL league.

Hey good luck to him. He's the last man in the chain after the loose man is set up. Not sure what it does for team harmony that those doing all the work arent getting 700k pa, but whatever.
As opposed to overpaid potatos who not only can't mark or kick goals or even get close to JJs tally...but he's taking shitloads of $$$ flogging it up.:thumbsu:

Difference between can and will -any club with a half decent list and competent coach "can".
Unfortunately your coach has turned into a "Kent"

Smile not quite so smug these days is it ?
Opps! I forgot you were sleeping on a park bench in Central Park using your left over a brown paper bag as a pillow while we were playing finals that year. FYI that slogan and T was made up by a passionate supporter during that campaign, and had nothing to do with the club.....

LoLz... Is it Subaru or drunkaru, you post nothing but fairy tales don't you? Show me where that T was sold as official club merchandise. Pretty sure that T was just a Adelaide news paper gimmick.

So your club did not sanction that ? They didn't give approval ?
Your club didn't want that done ?
They put it out on twitter

Not smiling now is he.
Ha!:D
Even better
One of your better marketing ideas was not done by your marketing dept but a bunch of home taught screen printers !:$
How long do you reckon Kent will last ?

What's going to happen to all those shirts once Port fans get their wish and Stinkley is sacked?

I'm sure the Lions have a couple of boxes of "Voss is Boss" shirts left over that we can send Port's way.

No regrets there, we've got two quality midfielders and a key forward who we are yet to try. I must say the signs are looking promising thus far.

Yeah we got good players (and "players we have yet to try") in the draft too, and managed to improve our position for the next draft rather than compromise it. Looking forward to spending your top 5 pick this year.

The Power threat that’s now just a myth::DPort Adelaide season preview for 2017 AFL season

Attacking footy? Cross. According to Champion Data’s 2017 AFL Prospectus, Power games produced the second-most number of stoppages in 2016 — which came after having the most in 2015

Pinpoint precision? Big cross. Port was ranked last for kicking efficiency and 16th for kick rating in 2016.

And as for quick, efficient ball movement? Forget about that, as the Power were the AFL’s biggest ‘pressing’ side last season. Port’s defensive 50 to forward 50 transition was ranked 16th in the league, according to Champion Data, while Hinkley’s men were also ranked 16th for scoring from back 50 chains.

Far Kern up against it.o_O

Not long enough for me.;)
Am hoping for a shit start to their year, followed by a contract extension on that back of wins against a couple of bottom 4 sides.
Or
It could be Kertains for Kent if he ****s up China !

Definitely up against it, it doesn't tell us anything we didn't know.

For 2016, no first-string ruckman available for pretty much the whole year meant that we had to play defensive football at stoppages (hence more stoppages), no clear run from stoppages if we won the ball (because we were standing side-by-side with our opponents) and hence less effective transition due to more rushed kicking (because of no time and space). However we still managed to score fairly well given this, by playing on at every opportunity from marks and free kicks where possible.

Interestingly one of the things that's noticeable from the pre-season is even less focus on "ballistic run-and-gun" though, there was far less quick movement from stoppages, even marks and free kicks. Who knows whether this is a change in approach, or an attempt to practice a "Plan B" which we supposedly don't have.

The % comment was an interesting one however. Of the 30 losses we've had since mid-2014, almost half have been less than 2 goals. Yet of the 30 wins in the same period, only about 1 in 6 were less than 2 goals. Hence the higher-than-expected percentage over that time. I wonder if they can find the improvement to turn that balance in their favour.

[/reasoned analysis]

You had the first string ruckman in 2015 - you were shit then too.

When are you going to admit the fluke was 2014 - the other years are the norm.

That's a fair summary. I've had trouble picking what they are trying to do in the JLT games though and you'd have to admit the messages coming out of Alberton are confusing. One minute it was said that there was very little match simulation and the next Bassett is saying that you've done far more match sim and far less running in the off season. The players actually look confused at how to structure up. Maybe there are too many voices directing the gameplan?

There's plenty of talent in the squad from last year and Powell-Pepper plus Atley both look really good prospects, so it's difficult to really reason why they are struggling so much. And the loss of a key playmaker in Pittard (who would have said that 3 years ago!!) will hurt.

The reason is why this thread exists. Not that its a crisis yet, but we shouldn't be in this position. .......

I remember you recruited a forward who could throw his weight around, and bash & crash. How's that going?
