By "team" I assume you mean "supporters", because you'd surely be able to find me links showing Port Adelaide talking about "missing piece to a premiership puzzle". Only Josh "Joe the Goose" Jenkins seems to talk openly about there being "no reason we can't win the flag this year".
But it's funny that you don't think that every team tells us every year that every part of their team is coming together nicely.
Let's take today.
10 March 2017
Adelaide believes Troy Menzel is ripe to make an impact with the Club after an interrupted first year as a Crow.
A settled senior line-up coupled with a year of fluctuating form and injuries in the SANFL meant Menzel did not play a game last season.
But the former Blue has impressed Crows coaching staff this summer and is determined to return to the AFL landscape.
"He turned up and we knew he was ready to go, we could see he had a real desire and that has transferred into the games," Crows assistant coach David Teague told reporters on Friday.
"He's playing well. He had some really important, not just possessions, but impact on the game on the weekend and hopefully that will continue.
"The more time he spends out there with this group, I'm thinking he will only get better."
October 2015:
"He's played some really good footy at AFL level and, at only 21 years of age, has plenty of scope for improvement," Crows head of football David Noble said.
"Troy will add another dimension to our dynamic forward and midfield lines and we think he can develop the flexibility to play in other positions."

Next thing you know the Crows would take credit for Australia winning the first test in India! #truthstrangerthanfiction
Yeah
Port poster posts about Menzel in a Ken Can't thread.
"Hinkley: "I'm a better coach than I was in 2013"
So if he's a better coach then he must just have a shitter list chockers full of recycled spuds.
Sad Diversion attempt is sad
