Will play a key role in our Aboriginal development centre - off the table one would assume.

Regardless of how much he has proven on the field (not a lot), he has become instrumental off it.

I think you will find he is Sri Lankan hougie, but you know, they all look the same anyway.

Pass, personally I don't think we need him, and I don't want him. While he is a good player he comes across as needing the focus taken off him to play his best(see years with Judd & Cousins). At Richmond he would be the focus and this year as the focus for opposition sides he cracked suspended twice I believe for losing it.

I think Kerr would be a liability, instead we should be looking at younger types who are hungry for a chance. Prismall should be one of the first we target. Would slot in nicely alongside Tuck, Deledio, Cotchin and Foley.

no problem giving away our first round pick but no players even second round pick. he is a champion and would make a massive difference to our team.

Forget Prismall. We can find better in the draft.

Devil's advocate, but you have said:

- We could easily be bottom 4 next year.
- Our history of recruitment is poor

Can't say he said a lot wrong.

Why not get him if there is every likelihood we'll pick up another dud?

Personally I believe that Prismall will generate immense interest and will become quite expensive, therefore I agree with the premise of your argument - but it would seem that there are some contradictions in what you're saying.

We have had a history of bad recruitment because we have had poor resources and greg miller in charge. Those two things have now changed so I am confident we can pick the right players. We have picked the right players in the past 2 drafts.

I think he would. We have to remember that all those boys are still young & Kerr would be the one who shows them what gut running is all about etc.

Like he did with the WCE youngsters this year FT?

Fair enough, he was under an injury cloud, but that doesn't excuse the suspensions (where he finally realised what it means to be the no.1 midfielder), and all the anonymous appearances which merely serve to further highlight that he has poor character - like the drug use, the taking his position for granted, the squirrel punching dog acts and all the rest of it wasn't already a giant red flag.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Worsfold put him on the shelf mostly because he was obliterating his trade value every time he took the field, and Worsfold knew he wouldn't be there in '09.

What more example of guts and gut running do we need than what Tuck has served up this season, on top of last year where he played 22 games injured?

Tucky has more G&D in his little finger than Kerr will ever have, but some people want to sell the farm to get this powder snorting, downhill skiing little scumbag onto our list as some sort of shining example to our young players?

I'd say I don't understand the logic, but I highly doubt there's any logic involved.

Yeah, why not get him? I mean we don't really have any injury-prone, out-of-form, allegedly drugs-affiliated midfielders - sounds like just what we need!

Look - when he's on, the guys is a champion, but he spends more time in the stands wrapped in bandages than on the field. We don't need to trade a potential career-player for 2.5 years of play out of Kerr (assuming 1/2 his time spent injured). Plus Worsfold is sprouting that Kerr's weight in gold bullion + Subiaco's surface area in premium petrol is required for the trade.

Yeah im with u here Beaver. There should be plenty on offer this year so why waste it.
To have another top 10 pick come into the team next year along with Alex Rance will make me a lot happier than picking up Kerr or Prismall.

what use is JON going to be in a deal? like FFS, are tigerheads that delusional? ;)

West Coast might be.

They rating him enough to say they would've taken him at Pick 1 :D

They might take Naitanui over Rich for the same "upside" that got them excited about JON.

For those who think its to high of a price to get kerr therefore we should go after Prismall. What exactly has Prismall done apart from being in a great team[occasionally].Whoever gets Prismall will be paying over the odds.Whereas kerr,s price will be around the mark.
Give me Kerr over Prismall.Kerr has the runs on the board.

Getting Kerr or/and Cousins
Is gonna make any team walk alot taller
Fast track development of our entire team
Especially our forwards and mids

hold onto the picks. it looks like a strong draft. i would think it's better to draft a kid who will grow to love the club than a bloke who, although talented, is just looking to get out of an ordinary situation. i will be extraordinarily p*ssed off if we trade for him. It would have to cost us at least pick 10, a quality young kid and perhaps a second rounder as well. At least.

Let some other club give up too much for him.

On the money Razor. Kerr has had an armchair ride alongside Judd and Cousins and as soon as the going gets tough, he folds under the pressure and subsequently wants out. Not the example I'd be wanting to set our young midfield. Pass!

I think that either way this year, the recruiting staff are going to definately investigate a trade, TW has already stated that this year that it is a good time to trade due to the draft oncessions.l would rather make a play for Kerr than Warnock.
