The thing to remember though as well that Kerr is a safe and solid bet (Even at age 26) whereas the potential pick 6 is still speculative ... we could end up with a gun, or we could also blow it and end up with another Luke Livingstone or Jordy Russell ..

I would keep the pick, if only for the chance to draft an potential gun KPP like Hurley, but there is also never any guarntees that this player at pick 6 is going to be a standout (I think really the top 4 or 5 pick themselves, but from there on in, it's anyone's guess)

Gibbs, Murphy, Walker, Kruezer must all be getting paid peanuts

good luck keeping them all long term, especially when their market value increases

We draft Warnock as expected, no way in hell we are getting Kerr and I think most sensible people know that ...

West Coast's asking price is far too high for Kerr anyway.

We can accommodate them because we have relatively few senior players on big contracts compared to other Clubs, and a heap of young future superstars on a modest wage at present. So we just front-load the contracts of Judd etc. The bigger issue is the draft pick cost though. It'll be way too high for us. Sounds like Kerr will stay anyway, once they sort out the "behavioural clause" in his extended contract.
