I noticed the graphics when he was meleeing at about 2:20 were a little 'off'! Looks awesome though, can't wait.

I don't think so, I think it was because he was meleeing an invisible guy that de-cloaks when he's in the process of the melee animation.

At times due to lag though no doubt the melee animations will jar.

ahhhh ok, that makes sense. I am not overly familiar with the series yet.

People will get excited in a couple of days when the open beta starts.:D

A great look here at the Move version of the game and how it differs from the Dualshock 3.

Around about then. No doubt it'll be updated either by myself or someone else when it's up.

not sure when the beta is but i'm pretty sure you'll be wanting a gun attatchment for this control method.

i don't know what i'm going to do....
i wouldn't mind getting a gun attatchment as i already have both the move and a nav but i doubt i will use it more than a couple of times and the only one i'd really want is the official sony one which is expensive as for something that will only be a fad to me.
i can't imagine my skills on the nav ever reaching what i'm capable of with the controller simply cause i don't want to put the effort in :o

btw that was a great vid. watched about 7 mins of it only though.

Well this will be my first console FPS so my skills are starting at zero either way :P

The sharp shooter attachment looks cool but I haven't been able to find any Australian retailers that stock it. One on ebay with a massive postage cost.

I think that the story will be fine with the Move, I think the hard part comes at the multiplayer, which is where the attachment would come in handy.

Playing Modern Combat (which the move controls were fine enough) was so hard to get used to and I really wouldn't turn to it without a controller. I think with the twitch nature of online a gun attachment is what can suit. However I do think that the SP can be played regularly, as the video sort of proves (since he played it on the 2nd hardest difficulty with relative ease.

Not going to be available until Killzone 3 is out anyway, but EB Games will have it for $78...

It's only retailing for $40 in the US so I don't know where the ebay sellers get the balls to sell it for $70.

Amazon however are selling it for under $40US with about $20 postage. Might be the way to go.

Having never played the series, it's gonna take me a hell of a long time to get used to the feel of this!

Scratch that, already beasting!

IGN Ratings for Killzone 3 (PS3)
Rating Description
out of 10 Click here for ratings guide
7.0 Presentation
The menus of Killzone are great, but the weak story never develops into anything great.
9.5 Graphics
Killzone 3 is easily one of the best looking games on any current platform, and makes war-torn worlds look beautiful.
8.5 Sound
The music of Killzone 3 is a bit hit and miss, but the sound design of guns and explosions are really good.
8.5 Gameplay
Fun multiplayer and excellent campaign pacing make this a great option for any shooter fan.
9.0 Lasting Appeal
The single player doesn’t have all that much replayability, but the multiplayer could last someone hours and hours.

control scheme shits me
Change it up to COD's?
I wish they gave more in that review, this is the thing that is pissing me off with IGN. They're not reviewing a game in-depth enough anymore.

They spend 1 page on the SP campaign, 1 paragraph on the graphics, 1 paragraph on the MP (which is supposed to be "THE REASON YOU KEEP THE GAME") and give you a tiny paragraph consisting of 1 sentence on each for 3 big things like co-op (something that reviews bashed the 2nd game for not having, now that it's in - albeit in offline form - it gets 1 tiny sentence?!), Move and 3D.

Interesting to note this about Move though compared to G4TV's review (which is far more in-depth about these things).

IGN said:
The Move controls are functional but in no way superior or better than an analog controller

G4TV said:
The PlayStation Move controls benefit most from the tighter, more precise shooting mechanics. This is largely the reason we not only played most of Killzone 3 using motion controls, but why we preferred it to the SixAxis.
