The 2 Killzone 2 maps that come with the Helghast and Collector's Edition of Killzone 3 have been named. They will also be appearing on the PSN for a fee post-release too.

Both maps have had changes made, visually and balance wise to help with the Killzone 3 changes (the 2nd one sounds sweet as it was one of the best Killzone 2 maps). The first map will also get the jetpacks.

SALAMUN MARKET
Game Type: Warzone (24 Players)
Description:
One of the largest maps from Killzone 2, Salamun Market has been re-balanced for maximum Killzone 3 carnage. After the Helghast ambush an ISA convoy on its main road, the whole market becomes a Warzone. Nostalgia meets brand-new Exoskeleton combat on this classic multiplayer map!

BLOOD GRACHT
Game Type: Guerrilla Warfare (16 Players)
Description:
Months after the nuclear blast that ruined most of the city, Blood Gracht is slowly being reclaimed by Helghan’s strange plant life. But when Guerrilla Warfare breaks out between ISA and Helghast troops, the canals once again run red with blood. The fan-favorite multiplayer map from Killzone 2 makes a triumphant return!

Very excited to get this.

Especially the multiplayer, which has a much different feel to it than COD. The single player is fun, but multiplayer is where it's at with this game.
 
Move controles feel really awkward. Hopefully the shapshooter will remedy this.

well it's safe to say that the game will be ridiculous :thumbsu:

the controls are infinitely tighter than kz2's which were so overboard weighty that it was amazing that it got into the final product.
it still retains a bit of weight and you definitely feel the momentum when you run (which screws me up a fair bit cause of my style) but it is infinitely more controllable than kz2.

the graphics are good, the rolling gametypes are awesome but i think a few of them need to go for longer....in the real game it's almost certain it will though and it's most likely just on a fixed limit since it's a beta. i sometimes have no idea what the hell we are doing but it will come with a bit more gametime.

you only get one map in the beta and tbh i'm not a fan of it.
way too big and nobody has the tactical spawn marker thingo and for some reason there doesn't seem to be a spawn on squad mate option so you keep having to run from the base on this HUMONGOUS and complex map and if you die you have to wait a few seconds again until you spawn to do it over again.....
won't take long for people to unlock the abilities to do that stuff but as it stands it's a little frustrating as you die ALOT in this game.
so many diff player types playing so many different ways that you're not really safe anywhere.

beware, it takes a bit of getting used to.

don't bother with tdm....warzone is the way to play this game!
and also don't worry about your kd/r either. this aint cod.

still havn't played the new operations gametype but look forward to it...it's apparently sposed to be like rush on bad company 2 but features cutscenes with the top players during the breaks......
it clearly has EPIC written all over it!

Yeah, I said this originally about the snow map.

"The snow map I wasn't really digging the layout of a whole lot, it's a lot bigger than Corinth Highway and has a lot of layers to it, making it a bit complicated. It's not terrible, but it's not great like Corinth Highway was."

It's a very complicated map as you've said. However I do think it works better in 'Operations'.

In regards to the spawning, you just have to play around with this game more. After you were complaining about having to spawn back at the original spot again and again and again (and I was getting pissed too) I figured I'd look for that spawning class. Put on Tactician and found out how the spawning works this time around, you no longer have the spawning grenades to put yourself wherever, whenever. Instead you have 3 specific points that you can hold in the match that will help you spawn there whenever you choose, the tactician is the ONLY one who can activate these though. One AWESOME feature about unlocking a spawn point is that you can get Mortar Beacons (which you can throw a LOOOOONG way) and that rains down fire from the sky.

Gotta find my weapon at the moment, I've been really up and down tonight using all sorts of weapons. Seemed to do pretty well with the LMG when I gave it a go, did alright with the SMG too but then started to aim horribly, chucked on the Shotty for about 2/3rds of a match and dominated (the match that I top scored in fact:cool:). Had a quick go of the sniper too and while I would NEVER use it in the full game, it's pretty easy to aim with (no real wobble or anything, feels similar to BF:BC2's sniping IMO).

This feels like a game where you can't just choose one weapon and sit on it for the rest of the time, it feels like one of those things that when the time and situation is suited THAT is when you need to pick weapon a, weapon b, etc. It's extremely tactical and there's no 'me only' thing going on.

I just wanted them to put more in the review, it's too short for what they're covering.

Did you both change the sensitivity to 7 or above or are you using low sensitivity?

I have it at I think the default. which is something like 30 percent? It's just me trying to get used to it, that's all.
 
It was fun, different from Black Ops and didn't lag, was hard and would take some getting used to, but I didn't mind it.

90% sure I won't buy it unless I have $100 randomly lying around, Black Ops, 2K11 and AFL will keep my occupied for more than enough time on PS3 seeing how busy I have been lately.

Guns were fun and the feeling when you got a kill, the sound, the way the points came up, was sick
 
Ready opinions on another forum and the aiming is almost as bad as the second game.

Seems like it's the same opinion here. Shame really.
Na the aiming is a step up from KZ2, have u played it yet Kerrby?
