Kinglake v Emerald 4th April

From an Emerald player's perspective I am very excited about being a part of this special day for the Kinglake community and football/netball club.

A bit worried about rumours of round 1 being shifted to the queens birthday weekend though, is this still a chance of happening?

Was there thought of moving this fixture to a Sunday match to maximise crowds?

I would've thought that a lot of potential supporters from other clubs/leagues will have their own clubs contesting practise matches. I know my brother who plays at an EFL club is very disappointed that he wont be able to come along.

Anyway looking forward to the day and Peter Garratt's rendition of the national anthem, could be interesting!

obviously we all know the final result of the match but how did the actual day go? what was the atmosphere like? what people of note were there??
