I assumed our KOLOKOTRONIS took his name from the legendary Greek Field Marshall, Theodoros Kolokotronis, who helped sort out the Ottomans during the War of Independence. I did not Wiki this, I learned it in a Greek language short course. When my Greek teacher was talking about the Field Marshall Kolokotronis, I had a major HA! moment and so it helped me remember it.
I realise this outs me as a nerd, but I'm ok with that.

No, but it manages to annoy all the other horses at the barrier gates by voicing its opinions at any given moment in time. It is particularly vicious about private school horses & anyone named Xavier Ellis.
