Re Jesse White.. I have always been a big fan but his best mate in Melb (son) play in the same team (as my son) and we have had a talk about him. Jesse is very happy in Sydney he is well established getting married to a local girl and doesnt want to leave. He jsut needs to play like his frame says he should.. his biggest problem is that he is a very nice guy.. but I want him to do well (just not against the Dee's).

If David Astbury from Richmond is out of contract I'd take a look at him. He is young and still needs to fill out a bit; however, he will be able to play key position centre-half-forward and centre-half-back. Has played 22 games so far but I get the feeling he's out of favour at Richmond; especially since Miller arrived.

Also, if you want to look at defenders, I'd be asking about Tom Gillies from Geelong. If Milburn decides to go on for one more season, Gilles might be willing to try his luck at the Dees. He's good good pace, makes good decisions and would be a nice fit for our defense.

Pretty sure Astbury is injured, definatley not out of favour

Stef Martin is playing so well now, and Gawn looks so promising, that a second ruck-KPF swingman isn't needed as much.

A big, gorilla-type KPF, however.....

He played the first four games of the season and was dropped to the VFL , not coincidently when Miller came into the team in Rd 4. He made to back for the Swans game but was injured in the first few minutes.

Personally, I do think he's out of favour but, what's more important is whether he thinks he's out of favour. If he does then he might be interested in a move. I think he'd be a good pick-up.

I'm not sure what all the love of Jackson Trengove is. A defender/Ruck. Haven't seen him forward though.

Sounds like our very own Stef Martin. Mind you Jackson so much better at his age but we've got his type.

Cook, Watts, Howe, Jurrah and resting ruck of Jamar and Martin is more then enough talls. Need to get more games into Watts and Howe and Cook.

He's a third year KP player with a slight frame. Give him time.

Besides, they gave him the number 12... that's not to be taken lightly at Punt Road.

I'm happy to give him all the time in the world - but I'd like that time to be in a Melbourne guernsey. That's why I suggested we should look at him, if he's out of contract at the end of the year. If he's happy he'll stay put, but if he's not then we might get ourselves a good, long-term player. Surely it's at least worth looking into.
