He's starting to become a liability now,doesn't do enough and plays only a few good games a year if we are lucky.His father and uncle were superstars at his age.We employ him to be a goal sneek for no return this year I think It's just about time to trade him at the end of the year that's if we can get anything for him.

Krakouer may not kick that many goals but his defensive pressure in our forward line is awsome. He is in our top 5 tackler's eassily. Just because he doesn't kick 3+ goals in a game, does not mean that he is a bad forward.

Realistically you might think you've done a great deal on Rodan but realistically they're one dimensial footballers so will be goner within a maximum of 2 years.

Well this year he's kicked zero goals a game and he does get paid to kick goals as well as defensive pressure.

He's been one of the top-10 tacklers in the league. I think his defensive work inside-50 is a bit more important for us than some other clubs because Richo and Petts don't catch too many. Krakouer is no star but his first two games have been OK.

Couple of assists, great defensive work.

Yes, I think we all look at the end of the game stats and see him with no goals, but forget his tackle kept the ball in, and on top of that, he will be the guy getting the pill to SOMEONE ELSE who slots it. I am sure there are people assessing that everyweek to inform the selectors on he has value being in the team. Ideally, ON TOP of that, he, or any forward like that, Davey of Melb, jags a few themselves. They then are 'worth' 5-6 goals for the team.
 
He almost got knocked out as well.

It wasn't his type of game because the two teams were chipping it around and not going long to contests because they were flooding back. Krakouer is best at crumbing at the one on one contests and beating his player at 50/50.
 
I've actually been quite pleased with Krakouer's last 2 games... I thought he was one of our better players yesterday.
 
lmao at people defending a bloke who never gets much ball (he gets good game time in the middle) is always second to the ball always chasing tail and hence being forced to lay tackles.for every tackle he lays his opponent strolls past 5 times. this will never change his weaknesses ensure this. dud sums him up pretty well.

Talking about tackling, I think its somethign Tambling has to improve on. Sure hes still young and skinny but I always see him just 'attempt' by throwing one arm across the guys chest as they run past.

Krakouer was very impressive IMO yesterday, his tackling and pressure was the best I've seen all year... He surely must be leading the comp in tackles?

Krak had 9 tackles yesterday. Pressure was very good I thought.
If he is playing most of the game as a small forward however, it would be nice if he could add 1-2 goals a week.

I dont mind one dimensional footballers who can kick 2 goals a game and average 18 odd possies ;) .I was sceptical about Rodan when we drafted him, and i admit i was the first one to start crap threads about him on the port board but now he has almost won me over.I will write an apology thread if he can maintain his performance over the next few weeks :thumbsu:

One of the friendliest blokes around and very few Richmond supporters would have anything bad to say about him. Just wait until mid-season to see if he's still performing.

Right, so Sydney Swans who are arguably the second best team in the AFL dont play good football. Their entire game is based on tagging and tackling with the endurance to out run teams in th 3rd and 4th quarters. The one a premiership doing it.
