to offer a view to the contary, in the vfl games i saw this year he didn't come across as an afl player.
slow, not overly skilled, solid body, no real weapons, not kpp size, pretty uninspiring really, rate goldy, cook, cox, reed etc all ahead of him.
I'd gamble on another kid myself.
he has been continually overlooked for the reasons stated above, that said plenty of good afl players get overlooked, so all the best if he gets a list spot with us.

i agree. he could well be a reasonable afl player but we have plenty of his ilk already

Maybe he is being considered for that medium tall defender vacancy we have on our list? Every team needs at least 12 of them, don't they...?

No good in my opinion. Slow, and doesn't have great skills. Won't play key tall in the seniors, to slow for anything but that.

He is a very good VFL player who reads the play very well. He is also very well built with a mature body. He's a similar height to Chris but more stocky in build. He has excellent hands.

As others have said, he is too short for KP and is far too slow to play on shorter players.

No thanks.

I agree mate.

Too many people are getting excited by his last name and a couple of decent finals games. Fact is he's too short for true KPP and doesn't exhibit the pace to go with the AFL's smalls.

Good VFL player, but at 23, thats all he'll be IMO.

If you want to get excited over someone with a good last name, lets have a crack at Miles Sewell.

Absolutely! Should be a number 1 target for us. He will be a gun, just been a late developer like his brother.

scott is actually taller and isn't overly quick yet he is an absolute star... so why do people think that kris will be no good.... leg speed is definitely going to be an issue, but i still think he could be a good contributer.

Hah?

1. Scott isn't a late developer. He was runner up in our best and fairest when he was 19. He debuted as an 18 year old and held his place in the side.

2. Kris is older than Scott. How late is he going to leave it to develop?

Kris doesn't seem to have Scott's ability to navigate through traffic, and plays on small / medium forwards. You can't get away with being slow in the backline. You can in the midfield.

Scott is slow, but has very good skills and is very good in traffic. Kris is slow and has below average skills and does not have Scott's ability in traffic.

Unfortunately, this is all true. We have too many medium defenders. We need someone to either play on the really tall blokes or small and quick blokes.
He's a bit too much of a tweener.

I think he was referring to Miles Sewell
