Older brother of vice-captain Scott, in his second season for the VFL Magpies. A key defender who possesses strong hands, a thumping kick and very good overhead. Started on the VFL rookie list last year and has since been promoted to the primary list.
he plays at CHB occasionally but he is a tall backman naturally. he is a smart footballer, skills are about par (he is the brother of scott), he is around 191-194cm? (closer to 191 i think), he is not explosive in pace, but he makes up for it with his toughness. he is a developed body - which is what i like.
correct me if i'm wrong anyone who knows more about him. this is just my overview from what ive seen from him.
also fits the age group we are lacking in.to offer a view to the contary, in the vfl games i saw this year he didn't come across as an afl player.
slow, not overly skilled, solid body, no real weapons, not kpp size, pretty uninspiring really, rate goldy, cook, cox, reed etc all ahead of him.
I'd gamble on another kid myself.
he has been continually overlooked for the reasons stated above, that said plenty of good afl players get overlooked, so all the best if he gets a list spot with us.

I think he has a solid skill set and can play big , but my major concern is leg speed. Being better than Thoolen should be a given for any new addition to the list.
If you want to get excited over someone with a good last name, lets have a crack at Miles Sewell.
