The deamons are playing great footy with a young list like ours.

Freo have had a nice draw to date but still can't travel.

Carlton need to worry about Carlton and not other teams.

The comp has shown already its pretty even from top to 10th, the rest really fall away...

Ratten is safe, even Caro said on FC on MOnday that we are playing great footy and considering that all the experts thought we'd be bad after losing Fev we have really impressed so far.

Is this you Lance, are you still holding a grudge after he made you quit??

Agreed but it would be depressing is failmantle with harvey finished above us.

they are playing well and now believe in themselves. I still think they will fall into a heap. If we play every game as well as we can and win enough of them we will be at a reasonable spot on the ladder. We cannot control what those 2 teams do except when we go head to head with them. My opinion is we can easily account for Melb with speed skill and strength but at the moment would struggle with Freo but at our best could easily take them.

Why is that?

They have a better forward line than us currently (Pav, Headland, Frodo, Sandi when he pushes up and a great kid in Fyfe), Sandilands gives them the edge in the ruck over Kruezer and Warnock, Tarrant has been a revelation as a defender, and you mustn't rate the midfield of Morabito, Hill, Haselby, Suban and Palmer (with Pav to push in as needed).

The only place we have them beat is the Midfield IMO. And thats no disrespect to Freo's mids.

You reckon we have had the spoils of some handy low draft picks, I reckon you should check out their recent finishes to see how many great picks they have gotten over the journey. And they stopped trading them away like dills a while ago as well.

Add to that they have a fantastic core of experienced players (Pav, Sandi, Haselby, Tarrant, Headland).

If anything they've been underachieving for way too long.
