I'll bet he gets traded into about 90% of Super Coach teams after tonight.
$94,000 is a bargain. Great talent this kid. :thumbsu:

After his game tonight I've decided to bring him in for Sellar who was dropped anyway. Adelaide have no "name" forwards so he looks likely to start Round 1. Not convinced he will score that well the rest of the season as St Kilda didn't really have a good match up for him (Goddard would've been good).

Is it certain Tippett will play Rnd 1 rather than Sellar?

well seeing as Sellar was dropped for the GF and Tippett was BOG for the Crows, i would say yes

I have had Tippett for a few weeks now, and seen nothing thats gonna change my mind, he might even geta gig starting

Borderline. Never keen on 1st yr KP/ruck prospects. 25-50 pts a game and usually dont go more than 3-4 games before getting hurt. Westhoff last yr was an exception that is helping to sway my thinking though.

From what i saw whenever the more experienced Fisher went to him Tippett went quiet ..but Lyon was getting KP time into Gilbert who had a poor game. No Hudghton/Maguire/Goddard and Fisher was dealing with Burton who went alright too.

Obviously should start which helps...but i doubt he can make it to a useful price that doesnt cost a 2 trade upgrade. Sellar will replace him after his first downgame. Was stoked with Westhoff late last yr but it aint the norm. See Mitch Clark for details.

It's not his first year though.

Adelaide's forwards always kill the Bulldogs. You can expect Tippett to have a blinder against us in round one. Players like him usually kill us, so I'm not only going to have him on my bench, I will start him.

There are a few options around that price in the forward line. I know Tippett has shown promise, but other than last nights game his scores were sub 20 or something weren't they.

Touch Choice, I originally had Sellar and Hansen. Now I have Rioli and Hill (who I heard had another good game the other night). Now Tippett is on the radar, damn I wish he was a ruck, he would fill Hampson's spot nicely right now.

QFT.

The big difference with Tippett and other forwards "starting out" is that 2008 will be his 3rd year in senior football.

He played for Southport in their 2006 QFL premiership and in the SANFL in 2007. Playing against men has clearly helped him :thumbsu:

Daniel Negreanu is my favourite pro player too! :)

Gus Hansen's very entertaining to watch though.

In the other games he was only playing 1-2 quarters, with Sellar being given slightly more game time. He will most likely get played in R1 and I don't think the dogs have anyone to match up on him.

Spot on Bollox

Never pick young key forwards/defenders/ruckmen. They'll only let you down. Sure they'll play a couple of good games but as for the rest...

"After Kurt Tippett’s NAB Cup grand final performance, almost everyone will have him as one of their cheap forwards. Before making him one of yours, don’t forget that he averaged only 32 in the opening three NAB Cup games, and is no guarantee to play
in Round 1 according to Neil Craig, so be wary."

agree that KPP are inherinatly risky but tippett seems to have done enough in the GF to get a games in the first few rounds. now that would be enough for me as if he average 30-40, he will raise in value a 100k or so, sell him off and use it to buy some one else.
