Predicted ladder- think the whole comp will even up which will be great for Kdfl football.
Lancy
Nagambie
Violet town
Murchison
Shepp east
Rushy
Avenal
Longwood
Tally
Gig
Undera
Stanhope
Merrigum

I think it’s out of 3 teams to win it being lancy, nag and vt (with full side)
Think Murch will drop off a fair bit have heard they’ve lost another 3 players from there GF side.
Nagambie with johnno Moore and fothergil back is going to be huge both arguably be in the top 10 players in comp on there day.

Looking forward to a good season boys. top 8 will all be very competitive which we haven’t seen that for a while.

You could scan the BigFooty archives and never see Stanhope predicted to be in the bottom 2 in any year. What has happened at the Lions to suggest this?

Was thinking of going he exact same thing! Almost every year play finals or thereabouts. What has caused the drop off?

Girgarre seem to have picked up a few handy senior premiership players from Mt Pleasant that have come across with the new coach Taylor McNamara. Will that get them a chance at finals we thinking or stay around the same area

Looks like he’s got a few more as well, very interesting to see how they go!
Some pretty good finals experience by the looks

Hey all
looking to join/ create a Melbourne based training squad.
I’m currently playing at Broadford and we’re seeing if there are any other teams/ players around Melbourne who’d be interested in doing some joint training sessions in Melbourne.
It’d be great to link up to boost numbers, run competitive drills, and keep sessions engaging. Flexible on times and locations and open to what works best for all.
If this sounds like something your team would be keen on, let me know.

Devine signed too spotswood, guess I was right in what I was saying a while back 🤪 Murch will drop off big time. 3 horse race lancy, nag, vt when full team.

History will show that MTFNC made the finals from 2019-2025, which the club’s longest streak since joining the KDL, and won back to back premierships for the first time in our long history.

The club won 2 flags in its first three years in the KDL (1964 & 1966) after dropping down from the GVL, then added just one more across a span of 45 years, and have now another three in the last eleven completed seasons (2013, 2024, 2025). Two current players are now chasing their fourth Senior flag, no other Hoppers have had that opportunity.

I am sure many are looking forward to the drop off, though we particularly enjoyed the ascent! All that clubs can ever seek to do is to give themselves a 'shot'. I would assume that Lanky, Nagambie and VT players would consider us very much still in the “race”.

Now that recruiting is pretty much all done, what’s everyone’s ladder prediction ?

Hmmm. I’ve watched from afar for 4 years now and like the concept of an open discussion for the KDFL
I’ve watch Murchison with a close eye since relocation to the caravan park . Grew up in Bundoora and played footy my whole life there

I think from what I’ve seen . My Murch boys will be there about but come back a peg or two.
The good old rivals Lanky aren’t messing around, to attract blokes from Ky and 1 pointers back is there’s to lose in my opinion , so much even spread all over the ground, it’s a credit to Ryan n the lads
Violet town recruiting with Lachy and euroa ruckman as well as Hayes boys and local talent has them in top 4 for me
I’ve got a bolster for my 4th place, a lot won’t see it coming, I have Giggarree Roos climbing the ladder.
Having seen the article in the shep paper last week, and there social media, they have obviously had enough of being not competitive. Recruiting half of Mount plesent who are in a pretty strong comp , will only propel the Roos and do good for them
Wouldn’t mind finding out more about the coach , but he’s been active, probably the most active KDFL coach in recruiting this off season
All the best to all and talk soon
