What is with this new "catch phrase" the commentators have come up with..."it hit him lace out"......."delivered the ball lace out"!!!
Tim Lane says it , Dermie says it and Quartermain says it.
WHAT THE HELL DOES IT MEAN?
I am assuming they are referring to a kick that is at the perfect height and distance that a player can easily run onto and mark it on his chest.
But what the hell does "lace out" have to do with a perfect pass!!!
....my understanding is that it is how the ball is placed in Grid-Iron when they are kicking for goal (or whatever they call it), atleast that is my understanding after watching "Ace Ventura".
Can't they just say "he drilled the pass" or something less embarressing.
