Chief, what the hell is going on around here? I thought this place was full of grown men talking about footy, but going on this thread, it's starting to feel like you have let a few too many Gossipy Teenage schoolgirls infiltrate the place

You know the lunatics you see at the footy, 98% of the posters on here are those people.

And this appears to be Tess when the photos haven't been put through the ringer.

Neale speech, wife’s tears emerge as pics drop https://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/l...c/news-story/91951fe7f643d3a991d1e0f49c2d41a3

Two physically attractive women living their lives while looking pretty different to their online personas. Nothing unusual in that.
You know you’re reading something straight out of the gutter when every second paragraph is an analysis of the subject’s attire

Ironic (or perhaps an omen) that in the video in that news article, she’s reading this book:

“In this deeply personal book, Melinda writes about the joyful upheaval of … her life after divorce”

The video: https://www.news.com.au/sport/lachi...ootage/video/e5c94c442ba76db77f4eabae118495c9

EDIT: they’re both reading it. And showing each other pages from it.

Some mothers are arseholes....just sayin'
Wasn't the point, if you had followed the preceding conversation to this.

Of course, any person can be an arseh*le.

That poster had made it quite clear his opinions of mothers & how he thought they were less important than fathers.. irrespective of what type of fathers they actually were.

This is putrid. Media too afraid to ask Lachie Neale questions so just gotta harass women instead. Not too surprised. Imagine how much worse it would be if she didnt defend herself

I think thats pretty rubbish following her like that albeit that lachie will get asked heaps of questions by the media the first training they get to and unless brisbane try to hide him (which they shouldn't) he will have to deal with it. But i do feel the basically photographing people at their home (even though she clearly isnt going to live there again it was her space where you would expect privacy) is too much.

Oh god would you look at that A BAD PHOTO. Won’t someone take her out the back and shoot her

Shock horror. People look worse without crafted photos that are enhanced for digital platforms. Pretty normal.

My two cents as to what happens from here (after getting myself overly invested in this drama):
  • Ben will forgive Tess. Tess will explain to Ben all the various manipulations that Lachie carries out, and claim that she simply was another sucker who got swept away. They will reconcile after 12 months or so.
  • Jules will not forgive Lachie. A line will be drawn in the sand. She will move on. Lachie will have neither girl.
  • Lachie will play for the Lions in 2026 but then either retire or play a season or two at WCE.

Where does this ‘Jules has fallen off’ narrative come from? I’m scrolling through her Instagram with my left hand and the most recent photos are just as good as the ones from 10 years ago
The old Tess looks like the kind of girl you marry, the new Tess looks like the girl you cheat on your Mrs with

Girls? Yuck!

This case is actually a solid example of why a PRE-SEASON trade period could work.

I considered the concept after the Zach Merrett trade fell through in October. If he'd done pre-season until the beginning of February and thought 'I tried, but I can't mentally do this at Essendon again', a secondary trade window would at least open up some options.

The mid-season concept is horrible, and I hope it never sees the light of day. At least actioning the movement before a ball is kicked doesn't result in a player playing for 2 different teams in the same season, which is the idea I can't get behind.

Trade all year round. Just close it 1 July to lock in the finals lists and reopen the day after GF.

This is truly the Home And Away season now. All we need is Alf Stewart to invite Jules to the diner to avoid the flamin galahs in the media
