No idea, probably not given a tired Sweet (who ROB destroyed) had the better of him. But probably better to try a guy who might be serviceable back-up than someone we know won't be.

He’s tall can jump, his ruck work looks good. Plus he can kick.

Pretty much everything ROB isn’t. Don’t know about his marking.

He went well against ROB in the internal trial at Port Pirie. Looked ok again, the Pear at Barker. Just glad we have a backup ruck because we need Filthy to play a lot of forward time.

We have been slowly exposing him to some coaching in recent years so maybe we worked something out there

I haven't seen enough to know if McAndrew will be any good but Strachan was going at the end of the year anyway so I think this is a good move for the future.

Bully? He got injured again and with two foot / heel injuries highly unlikely he’ll be back before late end of the season.

It’s smart list management. Tough on Strachan? On a personal level, maybe. But in a performance-based industry it’s 100% the right call. The downside risk of not doing so, and a season-ending injury to ROB, was too significant IMO.

Well done to all involved and kudos to Strachan for agreeing to it.
