Geelong
Port
Sydney
Hawthorn

RICHMOND
Thats my top 8

Can't get my head around a whole top 8, but West Coast will win it, Collingwood will be close, the Bulldogs won't make the finals, and neither will we.

Top Eight

1) Geelong
2)St Kilda
3)Hawthorne
4)West Coast
5)Port Adelaide
6)Sydney
7)Richmond
8)Brisbane

Predictions- Spoon to Bombers and Freo and the Crows to have very ugly seasons.

Mark Harvey to be first coached sacked (Peter Sumich or Guy McKenna to take over Freo in 2009)

Jeff Farmer to be the first un wanted Headline for the AFL.
Closely followed by an unknown Rookie Listed Collingwood youngster for Firing Shots in Hoddle St while under the influence after being at a strip club while driving a car full of strippers (I retract this statement as it is not in the Clubs Culture for this behaviour to happen)

NAB Rising Star - Palmer (Freo's new on baller) he'll get plent of game time playing for them.
Coleman Medalist - Fevola or Robertson
Brownlow - Pridis West Coast
Norm Smith - Gary Ablett Jr

Im a passionate realistic tigers supporter! Richmond will finish 11th... Melbourne will win spoon

I'm realistic and know if we have a full list we can do just as well as Collingwood, Kangaroos, Fremantle, Carlton, Essendon, Melbourne etc.You wonder how much St Kilda have left in them. You'd think the Adelaide, Sydney and West Coast will drop. How will the Dogs and Lions go this year? Geelong, Hawthorn and Port are probably the teams we will find tough. But it's a very even competition for the other 13 teams. I'll just assume we came 8th. These are the sides who I would put above us for 1 more season. I think we'll finish somewhere around the middle with 10 wins or more. But I'll just throw us in the 8 with 12 wins for fun ;)

Geelong
Hawthorn
Port
St Kilda
Bulldogs
West Coast
Sydney
Richmond
Brisbane
Collingwood
Adelaide
Fremantle
Carlton
Melbourne
Kangaroos
Essendon

1: Collingwood (2008 premiers folks. still think their best is yet to come, this year perhaps)
2: Geelong (will believe they are good enough again)
3: Brisbane (Matthews is the best coach in the business and they will improve rapdily. so much for rebuilding)
4: Port Adelaide (Williams re-invents himself again to give the boys from Alberton another sniff)
5: Fremantle (finally will find some consistency)
6: St Kilda (last roll of the dice for the saints. Will be thereabouts)
7: Hawthorn (will slide a little, but still a young list. Not necessarily a step backwards, more a consolidating season)
8: West Coast (can't write them off. Will win the majority of games at Subiaco)

9: North Melbourne (If Thompson can start fit and firing, they may finsih higher)
10: Sydney (will fall off the pace)
11: Adelaide (will still win seven or so at home)
12: Carlton (improvement for the Blues, but only gradual. Good on-ball brigade and some decent firepower but a suspect defence. If they're relying on the dud Setanta to be their saviour in defence then lol)
13: Richmond (similar boat to Carlton. Will leak goals, but an improving midfield, means a few wins against class opposition is not beyond the realms)
14: Melbourne (Neitz and Robertson still represents a decent forward line, but will struggle down back)
15: Western Bulldogs (lack of belief more than anything. Eade will soon realise that this current list needs an overhaul. If injuries are kind to the Bullies, they may finish mid-table though)
16: Essendon (things may get ugly at Windy Hill this season, but it had to happen sooner or later)

1) St Kilda
2) Geelong
3) Collingwood
4) WCE
5) Brisbane
6) PA
7) Richmond
8) Kangas
9) Sydney
10) Adelaide
11) Hawthorn
12) North
13) Melbourne
14) WBD
15) Carlton
16) Essendon

Scuse me Danny, You should read the title of this thread again... It says predictions (Pre- Dic-Tions) which means it is a persons guess as to what will happen...

Before you reply crap, please make sure you know what you are replying to.

If that does not work, finishing grade 3 is always an option.

this ladder is bang on the money or there abouts:thumbsu:

i scoff at any1 who thinks richmond will finish better than 10th, which would be decent. Finals predictions is the biggest joke ever. Carlton arent even talked up that much.
Hawks/Pies in the bottom 8? i dont think so..
dees tiges and (most likely) bombers to fight over the spoon.
Freo will also fail to deliver once again when it counts ^_^
gl sainters

LOL @ delusions

Richmond to be lurking in the bottom 4. Id have the Tigers as my spoon favourite. Rely heavily on your older players, with not much young talent easily identifiable. Long year coming up, but will be out of the bottom 4 next season.

you talk about being delusional, why are those three teams fighting for the spoon next year yet your lot, who've barely gotten out of last place in the last 6 years (and came 15th last year just 2 points ahead of us) don't get a mention?

1. Geelong - unless the hangover is too much weight to carry
2. Brisbane - don't say you weren't warned
3. Collingwood - as much as it pains me they're that good.
4. Hawthorn - confidence is a wonderful thing and they should be full of it.
5. Fremantle - smoky in the 8 but if Harvey gets it right they'll be tough to beat over there.
6. Port - over achieved a little last year considering it was a rebuilding year but they are the best team in SA and 10 true home games gives them a decent advantage
7. Saints - some think their time has past, I'm not one of them.
8. Swans - they know what it takes to get into the finals but I think this is their last shot.
-------------------------------------------------------
9. Roos - finally have their GC issues settled and will be there abouts again.
10. WCE - the fall will not be as great as some predict but they will be watching in September
11. Richmond - Perhaps biased but 05-06 showed we were not a bottom 4 club. With everyone seemingly ready to go should climb
12. Bulldogs - Eade and his one trick ponies have been worked out and their classy ponies are all another year older. Back to the drawing board.
13. Carlton - they have Judd so should at least break free from the bottom 2 for the first time in 4 seasons. But wont get much higher than this.
14. Crows - they are shot, the rebuild is on in force.
15. Melbourne - another rebuilder, have some stars still but too much of a gap between them and the rest of the list.
16. Essendon - for all their talk, they are easily the worst list in the AFL at present, will rely on old timers like Lloyd, Lucas, Fletcher and Micheal to get them wins but even they can't carry a whole club.

1.Geelong
2.North
3.Coll
4.Port
5.Stk
6.Bris
7.Haw
8.Frem
9. Carl
10. Syd
11. WB
12.WCE
13.Rich
14.Melb
15.Adel
16.Ess

Geelong are stll a class above te rest of the comp but wont be as dominant this year, North have lost Archer but have picked up Thompson, Harding, Power and Davies with youngsters coming through so even if we did overachieve last year there is nothing to suggest we wont at least hold a spot in the top 4. Collingwood look a strong side and Port will be thereabouts. StKilda will have a good year with thier pickups provided a good run with injuries will challenge for the flag. Brisbane will be much improved as will Freo. Hawthorn had a great draw in 07 and will fallback slightly. Carlton will be very competitive this year but just miss as will the aging Swans. WB will again struggle and WCE which have ben so strong bcause of thier midfield in previous years will drop hugely. Richmond will be better but its still hard to see them be a finals side in 08. Melb competitive aswell but wont be able to win enough games. Adel and Ess worst lists by a mile and will finish bottom
