Go through it quickly with your gut reaction in every game but judging the Richmond game optimistically (as though we played week in, week out like we did for most of today...and for parts of most of our games this season).

In mine, we made the eight with 11 wins :D

Not that I believe that's going to happen, but I think it's a very even season and if we can turn the corner all is not lost.

we will find new and inventive ways to lose. just because we nearly won today doesnt mean we will start winning. we dont really have a focus up forward at all and it is costing us big time.

I'm inclined to agree but it's a funny game. Cousins, Coughlan and Cotchin (among others) will keep getting better as the year wears on and with some luck and confidence, we could still win most of the games ahead of us.

With luck pfft. With luck in 2005, 2006 and 2008 didn't help us much.

What luck did we have those seasons? Brown and Newman broken legs, Thursfield and Coughlan knee recos, numerous other injuries that hampered players like Tuck, Tambling, Simmonds, Cotchin, timekeeping mistakes that possibly cost us victories that would have got us into the finals...

Not putting everything down to luck, obviously, but we haven't had much of it for a long time.

Fukc finishing 9th again especially with Dads army.

9th without Richo, Simmonds and Johnson would be an improvement on last season though. If the kids with a little help from Cousins, Brown and Bowden can win 9-10 of our last 14, it'd be a lot better for our development than finishing bottom three again.

I got us finishing 9th, outside of the 8 on percentage

Geelong, St Kilda, Hawthorn, Bulldogs, Port, Essendon, Adelaide, Sydney were my top 8.

Richmond, Carlton, Brisbane, Collingwood, North, Freo, West Coast, Melbourne were by bottom 8, with West Coast and Melbourne getting draft picks 1 to 4.

That's where you are oh so wrong.

Richmond coming home with a wet sale it seems:rolleyes:

A wet sale?

:o

Anyway, the point is not to predict where we will end up but just to see where we could possibly end up if we turned things around tomorrow. Thoughts of opposition supporters are not needed or wanted.

Round 9 v Essendon (possible win, likely loss ....Bombers are flying!)
Round 10 v Frematle (at Freo...favour the Dockers ... looked good in recent weeks and could have beaten the Hawks)
Round 11 V Bulldogs (loss)
Round 12 V West Coast (win)
Round 13 v St Kilda (loss)
Round 14 V Adelaide (loss...they've owned us for a decade)
Round 15 v Carlton (loss ... anyone remember round one???)
Round 16 v North Melbourne (probable win)
Round 17 v Essendon (likely loss)
Round 18 v Melbourne (we'd better win)
Round 19 v Sydney (loss...guaranteed!!)
Round 20 v Collingwood (loss)
Round 21 v Hawthorn (loss)
Round 22 v West Coast (in Perth, Eagles have been a lot better at home this year and without little to play for except a possible number 1 draft pick, likely loss).

Jeez...we Tiger fans are optimistic!! Predictions of 11 and 12 wins, finishes anywhere between 7th and 9th!!!

Reality check, please!!!

THE WHOLE POINT IS TO DO IT OPTIMISTICALLY.

No-one is saying we are really going to make the finals from here. But if we played our best football every game until year's end, we'd be able to squeeze in. It's a thread for those of us still clinging to some hope that we will get something out of this season.

Hey Ranger .... I was being optimistic.

Giving us a chance against Freo and WC over in Perth, a second win over the Roos and a certain win over Melbourne.
I was being optimistic!

i hate supporters like you..

:)DON'T hate you...could never hate a fellow Tiger supporter.

But I do pity you.

Yr' signature says it all.

Reality check .... pick up a newspaper and check the ladder and that'll tell you why I am truthful in saying I was being optimistic picking us to win certain games.

FFS ... we're a few weeks removed from embarrassing ourselves against Melbourne.

Now think about that for a few minutes and let it sink in ...... Melbourne!!!!

1-7 ... yeah our blokes will continue to try and look good at times like we did against Port, but we'll be battling up-hill for the rest of 09.

I am optimistic we'll play some decent games, push a few good teams, but I'm optimistic we'll have few wins.

Sigs been like that since he kicked his bag against port adelaide..

i just hate that everyone rides us off.. i mean yeah we wont make finals but i guess we don't wanna be in dead mans land again... i just hate how we get writen off all the time i just wanna see us finally get somewhere instead of being the best bottom 8 team other then the worst team all together,

I had us 6-16 with a percentage of 82.66. Didn't do the other teams.

I gave us wins against West Coast at home, North, Melbourne, Collingwood and Sydney.

We could very well beat the bombers in both games, the dockers and west coast at subi.

Azzleberry i think Melb finished with 3 wins by my book. Obviously I'm no prophet, but I played out the season as honestly as i thought it would go and tried my best to hold no bias towards Carlton... even shovelling us with a 10 goal loss against Geelong, seeing that seems to be the league standard at the moment. :D

I was a bit surprised at the final wash up - I think maybe i have overrated Port and Hawthorn, or have just not realised that they have quite favourable draws.
