You've hit the nail on the coffin there, Blues2001. I have seen many instances of crowd abusing at the footy, and not one of them have been reported, yet suspendable. Why does Lappin have to suddenly get suspended for this? I'm sure there were far worse acts than that in the past...
I was saying that just because he was guilty of giving the finger, doesn't mean that it was a reportable offence to begin with. You can be guilty of any trivial offence; it doesn't mean you should be suspended - since when is insulting the crowd a suspendable offence?
