he has a mystery virus. I hope that he's right for the start of the season. he has asthma as well.

Just makes you realise the levels of fitness these guys have. I get a virus - I'm in bed for three days! I was driving along the road to Coorparoo on Friday night and jogging along next to me was none other than Nige himself at a fair old pace, admittedly I was crawling along in traffic in places but he still beat me into the park!!!

Nigel told me he is recovering from a case of shingles.
He hasn't been sleeping well of late only a couple of hours a night.
His back is still quite sore from the shingles, and he's also got some kind of alergy which is playing havoc with his asthma.
He hasn't been training all that much, just long jogs around the streets with Murph.
Poor Nige ... things can only get better for him this year.
Fingers Crossed.

Ok I'm now officially concerned. I went through the same thing in my last year at uni. Of course I was nowhere as fit as Nigelbut I was knocked out for months seeing a specialist and a step away from CFS.

I had the shingles thing, the weird allergy, the sleep problems (disorder).

I hope Nigel's fitness sees him through. I don't expect to see him in the first few games.

The other night at the praccy match,he was running laps. It was way hot and sticky, so he can't be that bad.

he is feeling better than he was to start off with obviously.....but some days it just turns & he has a bad day... as can happen with many illnesses.......

Unfortunately running laps and slow jogs is all Nige has done training wise this year. As I said the info did come straight from the horses mouth, I think he'd know how he's feeling.

Yes I'm with you Suzi, I'm hoping he'll recover to win the Brownlow this year. Long way to go I know, but here's hoping.
