Larcom has quit the club according to Ten news. Half a dozen players were not happy with his training methods and claim he pushed them too hard.

Or maybe they are right. I don't know, I would guess they would be in the best position to know how fatigued they were towards the end of season.

But would be interested to know coasting, why you believe this shows how soft the playing group is.
 
First casualty one would think. He had a busy year with the olympics and so forth. These guys are the unsung heros and I for one am not happy to see the likes of Larcom go. Cuddley Chris has just confronted his fist jump of the off season, lets just sit back and see how many follow.

You have to work hard to be successful. So 6 players out of 44 complained that they were training too hard. Maybe its Dockers management who are really the soft ones. There is no doubt that Larcom was Connollys man and there is no doubt he lost out in a mexican standoff within the club. Will be interesting to see the ramifications.
 
Has he been pushed or has he walked? If he has walked maybe he can see some writing on the wall. I'd definitely be interested to get the feelers out on that one.
 
If Rhode was to come over then he was always going to replace Larcom. My feeling is that he was pushed, I just want to be sure that we're not getting ourselves into a "jobs for the boys" club situation.

Who do you think we will be able to get in to replace him?

Larcom was in charge of fitness, Rhode was touted for the Footy Managers job.

I thought he had done a good job in relation to our lack of soft tissue injuries. The only player who has publicly said anything negative about him is Clive and I detected that it sounded like a bit of "sour grapes".

Brady Anderson might be a good target, but stay away from M. Barber.
 
I must have been living on Mars for a bit cos I missed it completely... but what exactly did Clive say with regards to Larcom and his general "time to move on" call? I keep seeing that there's all this "negativity" down at Freo, but I have no idea what was actually said and by whom.

Apparently Clive is claiming that he was unable to perform to his potential due to him being overtrained by Larcom. His poor form then resulted in him being unable to establish a spot in the main team, meaning he missed out on match payments and possibly a contract for next year.

An interesting theory, but a theory nonetheless.

Is/was (I'm not sure of the status at the moment) the current fitness adviser to Peter German. Last time I saw them he was definitely the Subiaco Football Fitness Program Co-ordinator.
