As a Bomber member or supporter, what is it that you want from our last 2 rounds?

Could there be an appeasement? or something you want to see from our beloved club that you can take into next year? What would satisfy you?....

Do we close up shop for the year and rest our guns? Do we bring in the untried talent to give them a taste of AFL standard footy teaching them what it takes to play at the highest level? Or do we go for it, at least take one last crack at what seems the impossible and the improbable?

Injuries have killed us, we were no doubt a top 4 side with our best 22 fit and firing, right now our round 1 to 9 team would thrash our round 10 to 21 *give or take a few decent performances) by 10 plus goals. Do TRB change the dynamics of our structure and play a different style of footy for the purpose of next year, do we give notice to those who dont put in their best effort?

Personally, i dont know, i want 2 wins and what happens, happens, i want to see our 22 going for it for 4 quarters, if that means the underdone or out of form get dropped and reward 2's form, so be it, i dont care who is on the park, just as long as they are prepared to reinstate some bloody passion, desire and pride back in the red and black gernsey, even if it is only for the last 2 120 mins of footy.

Come on boys, restore the faith and leave the field with everyone anticipating 2013 with a positive outlook. FFS

No injuries, more effort than the previous 2 weeks, a couple of debuts... oh and 2 wins...

I don't want to see the Tigers run us off our legs. But it's going to happen. And the Maggies will love a training run just before the finals.

Don't really care about the wins but I would just like to see us play like an AFL side rather than watching us spend all day chasing the other side. I would like to see us rewarding leading players with low penetrating passes to their advantage. I would like to see us kicking to something other than a 3 on 1 situation on kick ins in the exact same spot outside the 50. I would like to see us taking advantage of our hit-out's in the centre square. I would like to see us screaming at our fellow team mate when they are under pressure from behind. I would like to see us handpass to players where they can run onto the ball rather than having to stop with 2 or more opposition players converging on them. I would like to see us stop giving away stupid free kicks and additional penalties. But most of all I would like to see us come away without a single long-term injury so our players can go away, do some soul searching and get ready to work their asses off once again to prepare for next year.

From a coaching perspective, i'd love to see TRB be ruthless and drop Dempsey for mouthing off, thats 2 weeks in a row now for 3 50 meter penalties, and any player that does not lay a tackle in 120 mins of footy should be questioned as well.
Bring in Merrett to showcase his talent and give Kav 2 more games for more blooding.
Heppell 's role needs to change for the 2 remaining games, hes been carved up since doing a decent job on Selwood.

Two 100 point thrashings to scrape into the finals where all our underdone players reach their peak and we make an unbelievable run to the Grand Final where we win by a point.

I want to see efforts like I saw vs the crows. I hate losing but I can cop losses like that.

I don't want to see lazy, bullshit efforts, like handballing to a guys feet when they are 3 metres away. God that ****ing shits me.

Also want to see Pears play the last two (should be a formality now bar injury) and remind us why we he was rated so highly.

Also want to see Reimers come in and play in the midfield, which is his best position. And he can actually hit a ****ing target unlike most of the guys we had running around yesterday.

I've been playing with the Ladder Predictor and I can safely say that we are F**ked. Sorry let me correct that... we are PROPER F**KED! Even if we win both of our last games we can't make it. We have to thrash Richmond and Collingwood... even then it's dicey.

Season over boys. :(

What I'd like to see then... is for someone to smash J.Riewoldt and D. Thomas.

  • Curbstomp both Richmond and Collingwood.
  • 6 Brownlow votes for Jobe, hopefully followed by the medal as well as the MVP trophy.
  • Carlton to miss finals.
  • Melksham to put up some sort of effort, if not banish him to the 2's
  • Give Kav a go.

not gonna get far this year with so many blokes coming back from injuries most of the time it takes 2 to 3 weeks to get that consistancy in your game. Which is about 6 to 7 players right now.

why risk more injuries to our spine players

let them recover from a hard pre season/year and get prepared for the next big one

Didnt Bomber say that this Pre Season coming up would be the last big one for alot of players then they get a consistant preseason plan to maintain the work they have done over the years

What do I want?

An excuse to call for the trading of half a dozen players.

That's it. If they apply themselves, and they play smart and for each other, that's OK. They might lose, but that's OK. I basically want to see the effort against Adelaide again, and to hell with the results themselves.

Rest players? Blood for next year?? Seriously???

So let me get this straight- Players get pounded from all and sundry for not running out a game, despite not having a match-fit midfield and being men down on the bench, without even going into confidence issues currently dogging the team. As a result, they end up losing by 96 instead of apparently 'fighting it out' to 'only' lose by 40-50 points.

But in the same breath, people are happy for the team to 'concede' the rest of the season, where we are still a chance to play finals. If this season (and even more so this round) has taught anything, it is that no results are guaranteed. All EFC can do is concentrate all their efforts this week on beating Richmond so that the players can go into the Collingwood game with something still to play for.

As bad as Saturday was, Ryder, Zaka and Stanton will be better for the run, especially coming up against a team that has only pride to play for and coming off a 6-day break flying back from Perth.

Believe!
