Did Braddles go on the u19 tour of England with Peter Sumich ?
This shows the squad for the 1983 tour of England that Bradley went on (Sumich wasn't there):- http://static.espncricinfo.com/db/A...US-YC_IN_ENG/YOUNG-AUS_IN_ENG_1983_SQUAD.html

Bradley turned 20 in 1983 while Sumich was only 15 at the time, so perhaps they didn't get to play/tour together. Sumich played tests and one-day internationals for Australia in 1987 on an U-19s tour of New Zealand:- http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/series/325229.html

My mistake Daics. NZ not UK.
Karl Langdon was a teller at the local bank in the late 80s, playing for Subi & I remember him going an U19 tour for WA - opened the bowling as I remember it.

Looks like he was a very good cricketer in his younger days:- http://www.saxton.com.au/karl-langdon/

A captain of the cricket, football and athletics teams at Guildford Grammar School, in 1985 Karl was named the school's Sportsman of the Year, becoming the only student in its history to captain all three sporting teams.

He went on to represent Western Australia in both U16 and U19 level cricket, and played first grade cricket for Claremont/Cottesloe Cricket Club. At the 1983 Australian U16 championships he was selected in the Australian team alongside Peter Sumich.

Siddons had a pre-season problem. At the start of each season, he would not be in great form, so if there was a middle-order spot up for grabs, he wouldn't be in the running. The he would hit a purple patch and be the best Shield batsman from Christmas onward - by which time the Aussie team was settled and beating the current opponents.

In 1988 he went to Pakistan as the reserve batsman - next in line - but got a severe stomach bug that nearly killed him and put him out of the game for at least a year. He was 24. The he started returning to good form, went to SA, and got hit by a Merv Hughes bouncer. That slowed him up, and by the time he recovered again - Shield Player of the year a couple of times - he was going on 28, and there was a lingering perception in the media that he might be vulnerable to the short ball (he was probably the best hooker and puller in Australia until Ponting came along).

Bad luck, bad timing.

never heard of Jamie Siddons playing for Sydney before...

What was the reason(s) that he never played test cricket?
Born in wrong era.
Great fieldsman as well.

If playing this era would be regular test player.
