My greatest f..kin bug bear with this club over the journey of the last decade or so has been the lack of direction our experienced players have given us .

When the tide has turned against us in games too often we have seen the shoulders hunch and the heads drop and we see 3 goal deficits turn into 8-10 goal drubbings in the twinkling of an eye .

Don`t be mistaken ... when this happens in games its the spiritual leaders of the club who need to draw the line in the sand and stop the rot ... To take the pack mark , to throw the body in when it counts , to offer the contest when the game is on the line .... the kids feed on and follow leadership and it is priceless .

We have been the worst in the league .

But tonight .... Joel Bowden ... Nathan Brown ... and "The Cho"

f..k me did they stand up when it counted .....

OH how it makes a difference

Tambling lifted ... Cotchin and Jack chimed in with moments of brilliance on the backs of the efforts of the elder statesmen ... countless other moments too mant to mention ... but you get the point

You cannot put a price on it and its all this club and its supporters have ever wanted

Agree with you our captain statistically had a very good game but boy when he needed to slot that goal 30m out i cut sick when he did that stupid handball.

Im not sold on our captain.

Need a change in that area.

He just doesnt exude the confidence to teammates out there through his play.

How many of our younger brigade would have been muttering under thier breath.. what the **** is he thinking when he went for that handpass.

While Bowden stood up and kicked goals including the match winner, I felt he also killed our momentum by demanding the ball be kicked backwards.

There was six minutes to go. He seems to be able to make that call and seems to have a fair bit of power out there.

Richo is better left as he is rather than giving him captaincy.

Does anybody think Brown would become a better player with the captaincy. I dont want a younger player being thrust into that role but rather concentrating on thier development.

Thats why i didn`t mention him

He has certainly done the job on more than one occasion since his return from exile ... this cannot be argued . As much as i would rather we won games instead of saving them (as we did tonight)... it cannot be denied he has brought home the bacon over the last 5-6

Richo has earned the right to truelly be the spiritual leader of our club . His last two years have been his best . Re-invented himself in a way i never thought possible

The Cho before Browny
