Leading forwards

Like the Dinosaurs, the art of a forward who can find a paddock and point to where they want it is something that this generation of our players seemed to have missed out on.
Players running through the middle bombing it in hope to defenders who make monkeys of our forwards, who decide not to use said paddock...
It worked forever. Why not get crazy and try to teach this basic to the kids...
Oh that's right. Our coaching staff are as bright as a bung 25 watt light bulb

10 years in and there’s no connection between mid forward or centre
He just slaps any player and whacks them forward thinking they just need to fill holes.

That's not fair, he's only played one game, he had a quiet day but still kicked 3 goals

Best game of our season re forward craft was the Carlton game when Billy was hurt, we had nice leading patterns and movement up forward for a couple of quarters and then it went back to shit and slow movement and long bombs again.

i commented to a friend while watching the game about the lack of leading and the one strategy of bombing to goal from the centre. I think the presence of mason cox in the past didnt help. The lack of foot skills doesnt help. The likelihood of the midfield to just bang it on the boot doesnt help..

Bit hard for the forwards to lead when they are behind the defenders.
Even J.Brown commentating yesterday said that forwards should always be in front - basic Under 15 stuff but apparently not good enough for CFC (sad).
I can only look forward to a Buckley-less Pies.
