A new keeper must be a priority in the summer. That was a horrendous blunder by Casper to allow a shot from such a tight angle get past.
I thought he had been good since getting the gig full-time after the earlier season battle with David Lucas. But yeah, that was shithouse.

And what's with you not being a modulator anymore? :thumbsd:

They wanted some fresh blood. I was considering giving it up anyway as I can't devote the time to it anymore.

Pffft, who have they replaced you with? Rubbish posters I've never heard of... mods these days...

Another 2 points thrown away, just like it looked like we would get a rare 3 points away from home. Best we can hope for now is 4th and a home play-off match. We will not catch Peterborough or Dons now.

F*ck :(

Second was always going to be very tough from where we were when Grayson took over. We just need to get into a good run of form by the time playoffs arrive, we should at least make the final again given the faltering form of Oldham, Milwall etc.

Our super home form has continued with a 4-0 win over Yeovil to put us back up to fifth spot. Beckford has been copping some criticism over his attitude lately but when he's switched on he shows just how valuable he is to us. Credit to Kilkenny as well, thought he would be out the door very soon but he has really grabbed his chance.

have just returned from 13 weeks travelling around the world, saw me take in a few leeds games on the way
First one was 3-1 away win at Stockport just after christmas, great performance and only graysons second in charge. You could see then we still had the jitters defensively, lubo especially looked all over the place. We didnt really control the midfield however they got stuck in and took our chances well, beckford the ever present threat.
Was supposed to see leeds away at hereford, but the game got postponed due to a frozen pitch, thank god it got called off at 9am and i hadnt left London yet..wouldve been a long way to go for a postponement.
After some more travelling came back to see Leeds vs Millwall at Elland rd. Pre game was crazy with thousands of west yorkshire police on hand to look after the away fans. This performance was much more assured. Naylor, but in particular Dickinson at left back were rock solid. Had a bit more control of midfield this time and you could see Grayson had instilled confidence in the team to play his way. Robinson seemed to be playing the old kewell role, technically out on the left, but he pretty much roams where he likes and was the key link in all of our creativity. For the record my girlfriend calls him Paul Chapman.
Delph had come on in leaps and bounds just in the 6 weeks between the two matches i saw, he didnt take as many risks against Millwall and seemed to have curbed his sometimes over the top enthuisiasm which gets him into trouble.
The key for me though is Beckford, he looks lazy, moans, and to be honest in both games the fans get on his back massively. But his pace and confidence scare the hell out of defenders and he only needs a couple of chances and he'll bury them. Which he did that night before he stupidly got in a tangle with their keeper seeing a suspension come his way.
New keeper is number 1 priority, you hold your breath every time casper comes for a cross or a set piece, ordinary handling and poor judgement.
We also need a new RB and LB, and if im being honest, probably another CB unless huntington can sort out his injury.
With Dickinson going back to stoke, i worry about the back 4, but for the most part theyve held up the last 6 weeks, but personally, i dont think we have what it takes to go up. Just cant string it all together, lose games we shouldnt lose, and keep conceding stupid goals. Against playoff sides, you can just see us being punished, MK Dons are the side that most worries me, id hope theyd go up automatically if we are to make the playoffs, which is going to be hard enough as it is.

Anyway, signed Liam Dickinson on loan overnight, lets look forward, 3 points against swindon is a must. Few of the top teams playing each other tonight, hopefully results go our way

MOT

Welcome home, drewie!

We recorded our 7th straight home win overnight with an unimpressive 1-0 win over strugglers Swindon.

Beckford scored in the 87th minute then got himself sent off minutes later after disputing a linesman's decision. He's now banned for next weeks trip to Crewe. Hopefully his loss will be softened somewhat by the arrival of Dickinson, who apparently looked okay in his brief stint late in the match.

It should have been a comfortable win from all reports but we were quite wasteful in front of goal. Still, it was another 3pts, we're now 4pts safe in the playoff positions, although Scampaignerhorpe play midweek against Hereford, so that could be reduced to just the 1pt.

Our away form needs to pick up markedly and while Crewe have been in good form lately, anything less than a win will be a distinct disappointment.

does anyone know where I can find some leeds torrents? i'm looking for some from our champions league run in 2001 and some of the sky games from this season.

thanks

we tried our hardest to **** it up..but we held on
finished 3-2, denied two clear cut penalties though and their second shouldve been disallowed for a foul on kilkenny
most of the favourites won last night so its still a battle for a playoff place
oldham look gone, tranmere the ones we have to watch out for

MK dons at home next week, massive game

And it was Alan Sheehan who won them the penalty to equalise, good to see a player out on loan actually helping us this time. Wonder if we'd be ahead of Millwall if not for bloody Kandol...

A win over MK last night as we continue our run of form, unfortunately Millwall won as well and Peterborough beat Leicester so second place is all but gone. Sam Sodje sounds like a good signing from all accounts, could displace Marques for the playoffs.

also got a game in hand on tranmere
another good result and more goals for beckford, if we dont go up surely someone will come in for him?

Tranmere, who are 7th, could only manage a draw, so it's 2pts gained on them. We're now 5pts clear in the playoff positions.

With Leeds having a much superior goal difference to Tranmere, it effectively makes the gap 6 points.

Tranmere are also playing a testimonial match against Everton this week and with the small aquad that is at Rovers disposal, that can only be good news for Leeds.

leeds play 4 matches in 9 days as of saturday. we should know a lot more 2 weeks today about how far we can go this season

A good away win against Colchester through Becchio, but Dons, Millwall and Peterborough all won again. At least our top 6 spot looks fairly secure now. But even a home play-off match looks tough now.
