After seeing Leon wincing again on the weekend whenever he stopped a run, or turning in a circle bigger than a School Mum's 4WD we need to look into some serious voodoo to turn this around in the next 3-4 weeks.

I realise they're playing him to make sure he's still got game time, but he's way below his mercurial best at he moment. Why did such a sacrifice have to happen during the Geelong match? Why couldn't it have been Maxwell instead (just kidding).

Cmon BF'ers. What are _you_ doing (even in some small, obscure way) to get Leon back up? As my token effort I sacrificed some neon lighting at number 1 Lygon St to help break the spell...

Whilst he is clearly not 100% fit I thought that he moved much better this week compared to the Sydney game. He'll have to play on with ankle soreness for the remainder of the year and hopefully it will keep improving. I thought he still went ok on Saturday and he'll benefit greatly from the run.

22 touches, yep he's in real trouble

I was watching the game at the ground, not the numbers on Game Day Live. He's clearly playing under duress and only to a level that allows him to fulfill a limited role.

Watch the replays again when he's going the ball, or even chasing, and you can see he's seriously inhibited in his speed and balance.

I'm like Ron Barrassi,"You give me possessions and I shut up"

I agree, he is on the up.

That's one of the best footy quotes going around :D

Not a true measure of a players influence tho. Look at Priddis from WC, you must love him CTA, he gets 30p's a game but does nothing with them.

A guy like Hird could win a match with 20.

Still I think Leon's struggling, but is improving hopefully back to his pre-Geelong form soon.

Go Pies!:thumbsu:

Even 'though he's good, Leon's still not at himself.

I'm seriously thinking of making a live sacrifice. I'm thinking of burying two yoghurt cultures under the ironbark where the magpies nest in the garden. Should work wonders.

I'm prepared to sacrifice the entire North Melbourne midfield if that'll help;)

Agree 100% with that, when people suggested he be rested or dropped after the sydney match i thought he would have benifited from the hit out, i think whilst still not 100% on saturday he was a fair bit better then he was the previous week and he will continue to improve as the time goes on. Hopefully his back to his best by september

i agree with you but i actually think now is a good chance (as good as any) to actually give him another week off against the roos. bring in wellingham (who has hardly put a foot wrong in the ones) to play the half-forward/midfield role.

in no way am i saying drop leon for sharrod, but like i said with 8 weeks to go it's something to look at. short term pain (no leon for a fortnight) for long term gain (leon in september).....

he often comes down to my home ground just before training and plays cricket in the nets with some of hes mates, ive had a kick with him most of the times, said hello and all that, i havnt seen him there since the geelong game :(

There y'go. Bury a cricket ball down there and sacrifice a can of energy drink (or something stronger) to get the mojo back there.

Then again he may not be down there because it's just been bloody cold! :)

I'm going to cover myself in feathers and ash, kick up dust chanting with fire sticks while praying he doesn't reinjure it more severly running around at 60% getting game time! WTF! They better rest him before Finals if we make it.

I cant see them taking him to Perth in Rd 22 if we have a top 4 spot sealed

Classic. :D

Strangely, Leon's injury coincided with my brother going overseas and hence his World of Warcraft character 'NeonLeon' going on hiatus. Maybe I need to learn how to play the game and re-awaken him.

The brother needs to get his priorities right. Can he get home by Friday?
