What a disgraceful disposer of the ball this guy is. It's lovely to get 18 possessions or whatever, but TO HAVE 9 CLANGERS IS AWFUL. The guy can't kick and he is as soft as they come when it comes to offering a decent tackle.

What are people's thoughts on the Demons New Brent Grgic?

I'd say Funcke is doing pretty.. crap, playing back at Sandy.

AS for Chell he will be dropped soon (if not this week) unless he picks up his act.
 
really if you think about it, he hasn't been playing too well since 2000. he had a shocking season last yr, as did all the players, and hasn't had a good start this yr. i dont think dropping him is the answer - coz he knows hes playing **** so it wouldnt be a wake up call - but maybe... hrm... i dunno! :confused:

he probs will get droped just on bases that he's playing like ****, but maybe he'll pick up form soon enough.

and he is NOT the new brent grgic!!!!! ew, the though of that makes me sick!!!!!

and sarah what do ya mean we're not doing too well? we're 7 - 5 and you're um... 1 - 11

yeah well i tend to agree in some parts in that he definatly has to get the wake up call and if that means being dropped then hey thats' what'll have to happen to get him back!
and no he is not the new brent grgic! i never really had a real problem with gerge apart from the fact he played like **** occasionly but who doesn't hey! in my opinion Troy Broadbridge is the new grgic...again i dont have anything against him but he didn't get the nickname "useless" for nothing

RACHY!!! MAAAATE!!! HOW WAS INDIA?!?!?!?

um, anyways... i would agree with you about all of that except the gerge bits. i HATE him. he's a crap player who did **** all almost every match. it took the club waaay too long to relise that he's crap and cant play. im so glad he's gone!! i dont reckon broady thaaaaat bad, but if he continues the way he plays atm, then he'll be heading that way!

Broady is not useless, and he will be a major part of the Dee's backline in the coming years. He is super quick, tall, and has decent hand and foot skills.

true... it will be good for the team actually... but i doubt it'd do anything for him as an individual (as in it wont help him or anything).

hehe... no what i meant was with all these players being compared to Gerge... it jsut doesn't sound good.. actually anythign to do with Gerge doesn't sound good... why are we talking about him again???
 
I hate Leoncelli and if Armstrong wasn't the new Grgic, then Chell would be.

I saw those 9 clangers and just shook my head in disgust! HE might get the ball, but rarely does he use it well. He always kicks the ball too high going forward and he isn't all that hard at it. Get rid of him!

And Rachy, How in the world could you say Broady is the new Grgic?? The guy will be a superstar one day!
 
Look maybe it's my sentimentality coming through here but I reckon you're being a bit hard on Chell. He kicked a few valuable goals on the weekend don't forget. I'll admit since he kicked THAT goal at footy park last year he's fallen away a bit. However he's been a great player for us since his senior debut in 96 he goes into a lot of packs & has a go. I'd stick by him a little longer but if he doesn't come around then trade him.

Same goes for the Ox, he's trying his guts out & does a lot of unrewarded work I feel, we have a strong TEAM with very few individual stars. Players like these & McDonalds,Brown etc have got us over the line so often.

I'm a huge Broadbridge fan too, he is unique. Great speed for someone his size & good overhead. He continues to Improve.

i spose its really just a joke that started with me and my brother and yeah he may be big sometime, but so will michael clark! he he! nah really i dont hate any players at melbourne
