All of last year, even in our few wins, we never kept a side to less than 100 points.

When Ratten came on board, he told us that one of the goals was to keep teams to less that 100 points. He's obviously been working on that, since Port scored just 85 points against us last night.

I think this is important too use winning consistently in the season and I'm glad to see some progress towards this goal.

Except Round 1 against Richmond.

Is a NAB cup game shorter though, would they have hit 100 points in normal time? And does it matter as long as you win?

It is a good sign but when you consider Port's forward line and the fact that they didn't have a few of their best players, (however neither did we) then i would have been dissapointed if Port scored more than 100.
By the way, i was very impressed with that Port Adelaide forward Coshell or something. Looked good.

I think they take off about 2 1/2 mins off each quater plus a few minutes time on, so i'd say it's about 15min shorter.i reckon they would have prob got there.

Yeah a good sized lad. Think it's Cockshell but you can imagine he'd prefer the pronunciation "Coshell". His father possibly 'ad an outrageous French accent and his mother smelt of elderberry waaahn.

Nothing to get excited about just yet. A shorter game and Port without their best players (granted, we weren't at full strength either) plus it being a NAB cup game and all. I'm not going to read much into overall team performance until the actual season commences, given our past NAB performances.

Port had no structure and looked lost going forward after he left the ground.

Fair call. I still think he is a boneheaded Neanderthal who has had his day.
