Unfortunately I don't believe Fevola. Even though I would like to believe him I classify him in the same bracket as say a Shane Warne. They tell Porky Pies to get themselves out of trouble!

I would be interested to hear others initial thoughts when you awoke this morning to the news.

Simple Question: Do you believe him or Not?

Nup. He just sounds like a 10 year old kid making excuses.

Did anyone really buy the "I'm a changed man" crap we've heard about him all this year??

Don't get me wrong, he's a great player, but I reckon the team would be better off without such a terrible influence.

FFS who cares.

He can play footy - which is why we employ him,

i couldn't care less if he sacrifices virgins to a demon god - as long as he kicks goals.
Point taken but I would always hope that most players would have some sense of moral fibre.

In essence your view could be seen as right.

He's a leader, the kids look up to him blah blah

But nevertheless, he's still a human being.

There's no reason why we shouldn't believe him.We are all very quick to hang our own. We should all as Carlton supporters get behind him, that's when our support is needed.
On this board too many people who want to axe the guy before a full investigation is conducted. The Irish are notorious for there ethnic & religious sledging.Look at what they do too each other. Let's all get behind him & support this man after all we are a Carlton family aren't we?

agreed as well, who cares what he does on the off season, is there nothing else happening in the world for Fevola to be on the front page of HS yesterday.

Understand your point but this is a public forum and I'm just trying to get an indication of who thinks Fev is not telling the truth.

Until another player comes out and verifies his story it's in the same category as the usual BF rumour. Not quite as worthless as the ones about the CFC board, but close.

In any case, it's irrelevant. If Fev thinks sledging is the "probably caused" him to get physical he's deluding himself. His poor judgement, impulse control, and alchohol are the cause.

Absolutely.

And I'd suggest that without alcohol, the other two would be far less of a problem for him.

Yeah I did based on his results on the field. His consistency through the year point to a better preperation and improved attitude. Nothing came out throughout the year that indicated he was a bad influence to the team.

You wouldn't happen to be Pelchin trying to convince us we're better off trading him to the Hawks?

God no! Our gun full forward doesn't need to flex his immature ego like Fev. And I'm sure he's copped 10 times the abuse Fevola has due to the colour of his skin.

I guess what I'm saying is that Fevola's apologies etc all seemed so insincere. It seemed like last year every second week on the footy show he was apologising for something and it all looked as though he was made to do it. Just didn't buy it.

Lets just say about 12 mths ago YOUR ANGEL Buddy was seen at a night club doing something even worse than fev -thats all i will say and didnt didnt make front page news

Fev stuffed up big time, and I'm disappointed....
and for those saying as long as he kicks goals, who cares what he does in the off season...

There are many people that are good at their jobs, but what they do outside of their job, can tarnish the reputation of the people they work with and their employers.

Fev was on an AFL trip, as an AFL player he was representing the AFL and the club (CFC) who has employed him to play in the AFL. He was not on an off-season trip here, he was representing the AFL and his country. He does not deserve to get off lightly for this.

Granted the CFC will not suspend him or threaten to remove him from their list, for the facts that he does have his good points (good with kids and charities etc), but in our current state we can't let him go.

I think the club will have to ask him to take couselling and alcohol management (which I believe they will be), and we can be sure Mrs Fevola will give him a bit as well.

Yes, one incident doesn't mean he's gone back to his old ways.

Yes, let's trade him to the Dogs for pick 34. ;)

He's a gun and every side would chase him if he became available.

Why didn't it make the news?? Must have been something terrible. Does the media only pick on Carlton players!

I don't doubt that that for a moment. I mean we chased and got Spider. Still doesn't mean that he and Fevola are knobs though

Why did Franklin have a minder to look after him when he goes out at night?

He's a nob and you should trade him.

Just like Crawford with the crap he got up to on The Footy Show.

And what is Campbell Brown still doing at Hawthorn after that 7/11 incident. The culture down their is crap, and players like Brown, Crawford, Franklin and that sniping captain Van Den Burg are the ring leaders!

Culture

Like i said at the time Carlton should have never let Fevola go to Ireland in the first place, something like this was always going to happen and the media were just waiting in the wings to pounce and give the club another bollocking for it's troubles.

An end of season trip involving lots of drinking is the worst possible place for Fev to be, especially after refraining all year, he was bound to cut loose and stuff up, if i could see it coming why couldn't the club.

Never should have been in Ireland in the first place, even his missus didn't want him to go, and i'm guessing but probably for the same reasons i didn't want him on the tour. Stupid stupid stupid from Fev and the Carlton Footy Club.:thumbsd:

he is an adult for crying out loud. if it gets to the point where the club has to start making every decision for him then it's time to piss him off
