Lets get Kerr or Cuz

To land Kerr we would have to give up Dal Santo & our 1st round pick or trade Dal to Essendon for pick 5 & forward that & our pick to WC.

Dal played a ripper the other night but I would definitely be tempted with that.

Cousins is another story. If we gave up our 1st round pick in the above scenario then I think we will hold onto our remaining picks.

Latest news on SEN is that the AFL may allow Cousins to nominate for the pre-season draft. That means that there is no draft pick to give up.

The SEN guys expect plenty of interest and expect him to be asking big bucks.

So the team that gets him... will have plenty to spend and room under the salary cap.

I would never give up Dal for Kerr anyhow. We already have 2 perfectly fine in and under mids in Ball and Hayes, aswell as Montagna, why would we throw away a brilliant outside player for Kerr?

as much as i would like kerry playing for us the price is way too high and considering if he played a further yr then moved over he would be 26. we would have to sacrifice too much and i think our teams midfield is good enough just needs a few more smaller additions. cuz would be worth the try because we dont have to give anything up and if it doesnt work it doesnt work but if it does theres a huge upside to that.

is it true that the pick kerr was selected with was actually traded by us for G train? aka pick 18... and now they want 2 first rounders... i would rather be trading for their recruitment people... lol

Apparantley we've shown alot of interest and we've made it known to him that we want him playing for us next year. But with the news that he'll be thrown into the PSD he can name his own price, so effectively if he wants to go to Collingwood (or anyone else) he can up it so no other team can match it.

But there's more to things than money. Gardy will have told Cuz what we can do for a druggie looking for redemption. If he's looking for a clean slate, I certainly don't see him going to Collingwood! (just to use your example, CHB)

Personally, I've made it clear several times that I feel it would be extremely dangerous to get Cousins or Kerr at our club. But if the powers-that-be decide to do it, who am I to argue (no argument, after this year, that Lyon could well be a recruiting genius!). I'm just saying Cousins has to think of more than money - he'd only be proving he's still off-his-tree if he goes into the PSD acting like he's the prize bull at the fair.

At least 3-4 for mine. He has the second best running ability after Harves that I have ever seen. He could easily finish his days as a forward pocket and easily average a goal a game.

His body wont hold up for that long, I wish it would though as hes my fav player.

His hammys will be a problem but i guess even if the saints get 1-2 yrs out of him it would make an impact as your up there contesting for the flag

Kerr would cost too much. We do not have the draft picks or quality players to let go. Face it, no team would want a Fiora, Rix, Ferguson or Leigh Fisher.

I am not doubting the on field benefits cousins would bring, i just thought it would be a big risk, and i am suprised Saint Kildas name is being linked to Cousins. anyway really, i think everyone knows he's coming to our club next year!

However, Gards will most likely go after another lackluster season, so Cuz would be just as much of a risk to you guys then he would to us!
