It was Hardwick himself that said: This season will be measured on the improvement of the team as a whole. However, improvement is not an excuse for not winning. Or soemthing along those lines. I fully expect the boys to have the mentality that we can win, as they should every match. It's no point having the mindset that you will lose because, with such a negative mentality, you are setting a bad example for the kids, are not trusting of yours and your teams skills, you will not get the best out of yourself on the day and you should be moved on for someone who has a positive mindset.

With today, it is a win win situation. If we win, well that is awesome. Most experts said we would struggle against bottom of the ladder sides. We have beaten a contender for the eight (Brisbane) and if we win today, we will have beaten a top 4 and a slight premiership contender. Anyone predict this at the start of the year?

If we lose, it will give us a rough estimate of where we are as a club. It will show us which structures need improvement, what aspects of our game need to be addressed (Footskills, kickouts, whatever) and it will give us an indication of how close or far we are from really being a top 4 contender. Now this may seem sucha negative post, but look at it on the flip side, this year is all about learning. To show we have learnt from Dimma we have won some games. Look at it if we lose as constructive criticism. Now on the outside it may be seen as negative, the core ogf it is designed to help us further improve and get us in the right direction, not only as a team, but as a club and Tigers community.

As i said, Win-Win situation today.

But if we win, there'll be unrealistic pressure put on the team to win a premiership. That's also the "keep it real" BF Richmond way.

In the end, it doesn't matter what expectations the supporters find themselves with, I trust that Hardwick and co. will continue what they are doing as will the players and they will all keep level headed.

We're winning games (like the 2nd half of 08) with pure pressure and determination. We are still a long way off challenging in September with all the mistakes we're making, but at least the boys are having a crack and giving us something to cheer for.
Whether we still need to turn the list over or certain players just need more experience, time will tell. Atleast we're heading upwards for now.

We deserved to beat Sydney and Freo but these other teams should have won.

We are doing all the right things though, improving and playing with a lot of heart. There is nothing wrong with our culture!!
