Two poor games and is one of the worst culprits for going sideways. Missed several players clear in the middle last night becasue he gets the footy and simply does a right hand turn.

The prob is McPhee can't defend for shit and needs to be used as a loose man... has he been tried much as a forward? He's got great hands and can kick the ball, at least when he gets it in the 50 he'll kick it forward.

If youre a big bloke like he is and can't play tight,tough, contested football as a defender, there is very little place for you in todays game.

Well we havent had him for the last 5 years so you cant use that as a comparison. And as for Campo, he slotted straight into our midfield when we got him. Now that Lovett, Winderlich and McVeigh are playing more midfield, he has to earn his spot back. An in form Campo would be amogst our best 5 players. He is a premiership player, an All Australian and a B&F winner. we would be silly to have passed him up.

They wont get you anything though maybe Bradley will get a chance in a team that needs KPP via the draft, McPhee on the other hand will get you a firts round draft pick at least, you need to seee your rebuilding (like Collingwood) and you need to bite the bullet like we did last year with Tarrant.

N.B Not saying keep cole, bradley and the rest but dont protect McPhee

This is the only reason I would consider getting rid of McPhee. He is still worth something, and we could get a decent player out of it. I agree that he struggles deep in defence when its body on body, but when he pushes out to half back he goes alright when it comes to one on one, and it also gives him that running option from half back then. Umm.. Bit undecided about it. Still has a lot of good footy in him, and would still be handy to have at Essendon. It'd need to be a good player we were getting in the trade to take it..
