As for Allen, that should be a banned surname at the club after multiple fails, along with Kelly, Hansen, Pyke, Bond, Brockman and Natanui. I am probably forgetting some.....

I think WC gross overpay for Baker has warped your perception - Lucky you're dealing with Gold Coast to have it further warped.

It was reported, and never denied anywhere that we asked for 14+f2. I presume that means its true.

As I said, I hope we keep Rioli as he’s our most valuable player and has plenty of years left. Doubt we will get a better player even with pick 6 - not worth the gamble.

His reasoning for leaving to re-unite with Hardwick is pretty weak. Who knows how long Hardwick will stay at GC? So bit of a gamble for Rioli as well.

Hopefully in a couple of years or less he will be announced as our next captain.

What’s the point of signing lengthy contracts anyway? Specially at Richmond.

I remember the Crows fans all chortling when I said Dawson would be their best player after he was traded. 12 months later, he was an AA and their captain.

I think you're spot on, Baker will be a breath of fresh air to a place that has been too busy believing its own BS for years.
