Whats the rule of thumb regarding how many you can have before exceeding the limit ?

My mate thinks its double the normal rule.
ie : fullstrength is 2 beers in the first hour and 1 per hour after that so light beer id 4 in the first hour and 2 per hour after that.

I've never quite known.
By the way I avoid drinking the stuff as much as possible.

It all depends on what sort of light beer it is and how big you and ur friend are. On the back or neck of the bottle it will say how many standard drinks it is (i think light is about .8) 'Technically' without blowing over the limit u are allowed 2 standard drinks in the first hour and one every hour after. But that also depends on how big u are. ie. a 60kg man wont beable to drink as much as a 160kg man.

2 drinks in the first hour and one every hour after that is the rule of thumb for a female. (This works - I've done it and been breathtested 20 mins after my last drink). Men can drink 3 drinks in the first hour (lucky you ay!).

'drinks' refers to standard drinks (what scotty13 said).

You can probably get away with a little more if you eat a decent meal during the drinking experience. Other factors such as metabolism and body weight can also have an affect. Depends if you are prepared to take a chance and push the limit (so to speak!).

Have to agree with RoosterLad as far as light beer goes though. :thumbsd:
