Liked, Learnt, Hated Round 15

Liked: The upsets and high scoring so those muppets at AFL house don't go ******* around with the game even more than they have.
The term 'Holy Trinity' is being used less as they realise its not that great.
Tom Mitchell putting in his third career 50+ disposal game.

Hated: Hearing Gunston was a late out on my way to the game.


Learnt: Giants fans are quiet in comparison to the Hawks fans at the game.
AFL like wasting their money on pointless committees.
Gil needs to step aside as AFL CEO in the next couple years(preferably sooner) as he is threatening the integrity of the game.

Liked: The amount of criticism being directed towards James Parsons and the MC for continually selecting him by Cats fans.

Learnt: James Parsons clearly has mind control powers or damning evidence over Chris Scott which is surely the only reason he is both on an AFL list and somehow getting senior games.

Hated: The inclusion of James Parsons in Geelong's senior team. He is probably the worst player to play seniors in the AFL for over a decade.

I'm sort of getting a theme here....just can't quite pick it up.

Hated: The tears of all the west coast and Richmond and vicco supporters saying what a terrible captain tex was when he slotted 3 and 1 from 60 to help us over the line.

There are no tears mate, there will never be tears.

You can make something of it as often as you like, but no tears. Kicking 3goals in a H&A game will never cover the fact he and the team stunk it up on the biggest day of all.

You can never get it back mate, time to let it go.

The Lions, great stuff.

Learnt: The Giants should make the 8 from here, and you wouldn't want to catch them on a good day.

Hated: Attention seeking umpires, and injuries.

Liked - the dogs grunt and willingness to get their hands dirty, well done and that’s exactly what AFL footy’s about.

Leant - the final 8 is a long way from being anywhere near settled.

Hated - that the big Buddy Bear Bargwanna gets an armchair ride by the umps and Razor Ray and his cohort have hit the pathetic range for their performances this year.

Liked. Stratton telling the umpire he did a rancey.
Liked. Eddie gushing over Red Ed Richards.
Learnt. The Tigers lower rated players are what's keeping them at the top.
Hated. The approval of the tigers players getting around a player on a stretcher. If I'm not mistaken it happens all the time.

Nah we only have 4 good players, the rest are plodders just playing a role...

Liked: Obviously Tigers. The evenness of the middle tier of the ladder. Brisbane moving upwards, GWS back in town, Adelaide winning after such a crap period.

Learnt: This is an incredibly even year to make the 8. Really interesting to see how it ends up. Teams go on a streak, then fall away

Hated: Injuries cruel teams (WC). Some Umpires are so weird in their decisions. Rayzor did my head in. And it's starting to get some press. Hopefully there will be a bit of work put into consistency.

Learnt - Dogs a slowly getting their identity back, I was critical of Bevo earlier this season, Players look to be buying in again.
Hated (Hated is a bit strong fwiw) - Parents complaining about time slots, That it's not family friendly, The world does not revolve around you.

Had this discussion on our board, we dont get many early games although I really prefer them. Parents seem to prefer the later slots as does the club. For us the world really does revolve around families though. They're our future.

I agree. It'd be good to see a team playing successful attacking footy. Who would have thought that John Worsfold would become the most attack-minded coach in the competition?

Learnt: Collingwood has deep deep midfield depth after the Treloar injury, also the Dunn injury will be almost impossible to cover
Hated: The Dunn injury
