Absolutely, This is his year if he is ever going to become a quality AFL player. A regular gig in the midfield rotation is up for grabs.

I'd probably expect one of the three to cement themselves as permanent best 22 as they all have that upside, and for the other 2 to be delisted at the end of the season. Anything more is a bonus, and if all three fail it'll have quite the impact on the length of our rebuild.

Surely Sinclair and Seedsman are on their last legs? 23 years old, have battled to play consistently in the seniors. They need to lift or else they'll surely be on the way out..
Thanks. Ok that's changes a few things.
It's worry that Swan will be 31. Cloke 28 and Pendlebury 27 by round 1. Didn't realise Pendles was that old.

Hypothetically we take Wright at 5, and then Moore at 9.

In 5 years when Cloke finishes up, we will have 2 beasts in the Arc.

It's not all doom and gloom, but we do have a lot of eggs in the Cloke basket.

I admire your optimism :) a true believer. Lets hope Clokey doesn't fall over between now and five years later.

They were both injured for large chunks of this year so I think we suspend judgement for another 12 months. I was all for shipping Sinclair off to wherever at the begining of 2013 but then he moved down back and things picked up.

Yes in many ways the Academy does make it compromised.

Whilst in reality you're right (and you'd have to include f/s in compromising the draft too) it's around to stay for the foreseeable future and not comparable to the levels of benefits GCS and GWS had over those couple of years.

I see the comparison between the Academy and F/S differently in regards to compromised.

Only 4 teams are advantaged by having academies however all bar 2 teams are on an equal playing field in regards to the F/S.

And as you have correctly stated above both GWS and GC have received great benefits.

** Ages are as of Today.

1 x 30 year old
Majority of the list under 25.

I feel this is the last year we invest in the draft. We are perfectly positioned to trade aggressively next year and the year after for established talent as well as attacking free agency.

If we identify 2-3 talented players and can fit them under the cap, i will make a bold prediction. Top 2-3 in 2016.

As much as we have been knocked for going backwards at a rate of knots, our window was 2010-2012. We made 2 Grand Finals and won 1.

Our window closed for 2 years while still challenging for finals and i firmly believe that it swings back open. 2016-2021 will be a large period where the window remains wide open with the list that's been put together. I'm really starting to buy into the clubs direction although i had my doubts initially back in 2012/13.

Side by Side
I think this will be looking a lot fresher after this week
