List Management Observation

I'd like for someone, if they can, to outline what the AFL moves to put the kybosh on our Sydney work will mean.
Truth be told; probably not a whole lot. These kids are mostly going to be "rookie draft" standard, so it's handy to be able to supplement our rookie list, and we have unearthed some gems from the rookie list (Maxwell, O'Brien, Wellingham for example), but it won't be a mortal blow. I'm basing this upon the assumption that our existing contracts will hold, however, and we simply won't be able to sign any new players.

Happening as we speak. :thumbsu:

I hope Ratten makes the dirty ****ers jog up there after the pantsing they got today.

There's those psychic abilities coming out again...lol

Think I might have picked the $4,000.000.00 lotto too.

If I have it's free beer to BF Magpies for the finals...:D

I think a big loss wil be presti, but then N Brown is in the wings and I am glad he has spent most of the year in the 2's, gives him hunger and experience, that he really needs as a key back. Reid looks like he has found his position and he is another back, which is good.

Rocca gone for sure, Dawes really has to step up next year, Rusling well I think the compromised draft has helped his cause to stay.

Also don't forget we have to give up a uncontracted player, who will it be?

lol, wouldn't be suprised if we sign a stanners or cook to the end of next year just so gold coast grabs them instead of one of our better talents!!

on that, isnt the provision that they can take one uncontracted player from each club? what if a club has everyone signed up? chances are, GC will be getting every clubs ryan cook

Guy McKenna knows our list well.

Now that Beams is out of the picture, I'd be tipping Shannon Cox. Skilful player, not to old and seems to be behind quite a few for the back flank role, especially if Blight keeps performing.

May get a shot as a winger for GC17.

Yeah Cox can teach campaigner how to play footy...:D

I thought the 1 uncontracted player from each club was a maximum not a minimum. That is GC can not poach more than 1 uncontracted player from another club but if they can not sign an uncontracted Collingwood player then they miss out. We don't have to give them a player..... we just can't stop one from leaving for GC.

Back on TRS's OP - I agree. Those clubs looking to rebuild like Richmond are in for a lot of hard work to find enough players over the next couple of years if they are looking to cull their list considerably.

i think talk of a clean-out at Port Adelaide is a knee-jerk reaction. We need to get rid of a bit of dead wood and make some smart decisions come trade week. Nothing massive.

We don't have to give up an uncontracted player to the GC17. If we sign them all, it will be TS for the Coasters.
