To be fair that’s Kane and Kingy’s fault, on Fireball yesterday they basically forced him into judging where certain players would be playing next year, for clicks

Why eyebrow raising ?? That’s likely on the back of smart negotiations from their management. Neither have debuted yet, and both have the potential to earn a lot more money once they do break in to the side and show that they belong at AFL level. Rather than being tied down to a two year contract on bare minimum dollars. Back themselves in to perform before asking for contracts. I don’t see any risk of losing them or any need for concern.

Oh, there is effectively 0 risk of losing them. More that for a first year resigning this seems very "on the fence" about both.

If potential to earn a lot more money was the genuine motivator, they don't sign at this point. That contract is on the table this time next year. Potentially it buys them an extra year on top of it.
