Lloyd is an out and out champion and dominated the games from the goal square for years. This year, after his hamstring injury, alot of people have been commenting on how he is seen up the ground alot more, crashing packs, and other things. You can look at it as lloydy adding a few more strings to his bow, or adjusting his game style to suit him. i personally think he has lost a bit of pace, and his kicking isnt what it used to be. his moves up the ground is giving him a greater influence in games, which seem to cover for his post injury short comings. this is a mark of a true champion. what do you guys think of lloyd pre injury, and post injury

I don't think lloyd's move up the ground reflects his ability in the forward line rather the lack of scoring by key forwards due to floods and improved defense over the last 5 or so years. To get involved in the play he often has to venture further up the ground.

Lucas has always en a decent goalscorer from memory, maybe not as in form as he is now but been an offensive contributor for a while except for a spell at CHB.

I was of a similar opinion, but after seeing him clunk a couple of beauties against the Eagles I'm inclined to think he's starting to get back to his best.

Has been playing with an injury this year as well don't forget, so maybe after the mid-season break he might come out all guns blazing.

But the form of Lucas has been a positive, meaning it's not up to Lloyd to keep beating his opponent all the time in order for us to kick goals.

I just wish the midfield was better so the supply came more often, quicker, and more accurately. This was the year we could really have done with an A-grade midfielder in trade week, but nothing came through unfortunately.

On Friday against the Eagles I was really impressed with Lloyd's attack on the ball, that bump I think in the last quarter was great and one of the good things about sitting on the Third deck at the Dome is to be able to look over the top of the play and there is no questioning in m mind that was Lloyds best game in a while maybe not scoring wise but if he plays like that every week I'm happy.

I think when we have Jetta, Daveys, Lovett, Lovett Murray, Watson, Stanton, Hird, Monfries, Windleich, Houli and Dempsey etc rotating across the middle and into the forward line or dropping back depending on game situation I think that will be a good balance

I think we at times have the ball come out of the forward line too easily.

Lloyds slowly becoming the full forward we know and love of late, with the leads he's running and the marks he's taking, but the accuracy isnt back yet. Once the accuracy comes back we may be able to look forward to a few bags being kicked:)
