Can't blame Hawkes after the spanking he copped last year in the Cox..a master for placing his horses is Johnny Hawkes.

Having said that I personally think if ever Northerly would be vulnerable it'd be tomorrow, first run clockwise can bring undone the very best of them.

Will be cheering the champ on tomorrow but very wary to bet anything heavy on him at the short odds.

Hows ya bank manager mate ?? Did Northerly deliver the goods for you...............lmao lmao

Go Republic Lass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jlc

And I'm tipping young JLC might have had a bit of a result there.I'm guessing the trifecta which paid a tidy sum of just over $200.00. am I right???

I stayed clear of that race and just did a quaddie. Missed out on the last leg mainly due to the fact that it was a crap field and i only knew a couple of the horses.

Once again Thorn Park delivered another Sydney victory.

Rodean FLOPPED in Sydney and Niello was also beaten.

Kusi is the best bet for the Golden slipper. Corey Brown on board and backed to its preferred was of racing.

A horse raced yesterday and finished a strong 4th to Exceed and Excel, dont think it has qualified for The Slipper but watch it come the Sires and Champagne and Im sure if this horse had a few more runs under its belt Corey Brown would be riding it in the slipper..... "Red Hot Pepper", was held up in the straight as Niello made its run, couldnt get a run anywhere for half a furlong than motored home to just miss the place, keep an eye on this one!

You're no doubt a Sunline fan. 3 nil mate.

I didn't bet in the Ranvet, I was at a wedding, wouldn't have bet in that race regardless even if I was actually at Rosehill myself, $1.20 the win is ridiculous.

Sunline was adept at going both clock wise and anti clockwise and yes i did enjoy watching Sunline race.

However my favourite horses have been Yippyio and Might and Power.

However werent you the won say that short odds were easy money and something about yuor bank manager etc and us mugs help you out as we back the other donkeys..........lol lol

It goes to show that it often is hard to switch to a different way of racing.

He was beaten a short half head by a quality, fit mare. Hardly an effort worthy of a place in the sin bin.

Hey JLC check this out you vacuum head...

Kinda reads like I thought he'd struggle last weekend, don't it???

3 nil mate, eat it.

One week you were gloating about how racing the other way wont bother Northerley and about your bank manager etc etc but as the race drew closer you back pedalled ;)

You bag Lonhro for only beating second raters. But those second raters that Lonhro beat included Republic Lass. Very interesting. Lets hope Notherley can beat this second rate field this week.

Now for all you Defier fans who gloat about how your horse is. Why is it too scared to run against Lonhro if it rains ?? Surely its not scared of the rain.

jlc

Another disappointing effort by Northley. Couldn't even get a place against a pretty average field. Oh Patty don't be scared to leave the fence.......lol

Bad luck to Defier. Lonhrooooooooo is simply too good and will make many of his critics eat their words. Lonhro will only get better.

I'd rather have Greg Childs on Northerly anyday.

Hey JLC, 3 nil. And I believe Lohnro got belted by the champ too...8-9 lengths to be precise.

It would but Hawkes is too scared to run him against Northerly because he knows what the result will be Northerly first, Lonhro, heart-broken and a distant 2nd.

Yeah yeah yeah just like Lonhro couldnt beat Defier......lol Lonhro proved the so called experts wrong.

You sound very confident just like you were confident that Northerly would perform well in Sydney ?? So far hasnt done that well.

He's only had one run. Saturday doesn't count as a run. Last week he was beaten a short half head by a classy mare who had fitness on her side, was experienced racing the Sydney way and had the race run to suit her.

If he has everything go right for him and he still loses, then you can say he hasn't performed and I will agree.
