What is your favourite Carlton moment you can remember? Mine would have to be the 1 point pre-lim win over Essendon in 99 i think, which turned to shit the next week. But i can remember just running around uncontrolably (i was 12).

Sounds just like me mate including age! :thumbsu::)

Haha mine too. I was exactly 12, first year of highschool.

I remember it was either on Fox or delayed telecast (thanks for nothing channel 7) and my mates and I were kicking around and listening to it on the radio.

When I realised the siren had gone we went nuts and just ran around for about 20 mins haha.

The 1995 premiership comes pretty close, but I'd have to go the 1982 Grand Final victory over Richmond which made it back-to-back's for the Blues. The Tigers were favourites and my Tiger loving Aunt, god rest her soul, was there cheering them on all the way. It was my sisters birthday and it seemed everytime she was in the room the Tigers kicked a goal. Birthday or not, in the tradition of sports superstition, she was ejected from the living room. Took her years to get over that. Also driving into town with my Dad to get the Weg poster is a great memory. To top it off Helen D'Amico put on a very good sideshow.

The 1994 victory at PP against a WCE team in their prime, when Braddles out ran Matera with the one two and dobbed a banana from 50, was bloody enjoyable also. I was sitting on the wing and watched that all transpire before my eyes.

I was in India in 99' so I missed out on what turned out to be a special day for the Blues.

99' Prelim by a mile. I was 15 and enjoyed giving shi* to my best friend the following week at school. He called me during the third term when essendon led by a few goals and started celebrating (Essendon arrogance).

Fuc* I hate those pric*s

Yep - mine too. Made even the more sweeter by the fact I live in Essendon and saw all the Bumber fans lining up for tix outside Windy Hill days prior to our game (they were that confident!!!!). First thing I did on the way home was drive past to absolutely hammer them but guess what - chairs upturned and all had left!!!!! Was a beautiful moment

My favourite memory has gotta be '95 Grand Final. I watched it on TV at home, scarcely able to believe we were actually doing what we were doing. I remember getting every paper the next day to read every single review, player profile and article about the game. MAN SOS owned Ablett that day.

My *first* memory is watching Carlton vs Essendon at Princes Park from my dad's shoulders in about ~1983. I saw Wayne Johnson running around, and he was my favourite player until he retired. We lived just down the road, and we would head in to watch the last quarter when they opened the gates. That was how I became a Carlton fan (my poor dad is a long-suffering Saints man).

If it was 1983 they would have beaten us even if it was at PP. They had the wood over us from about 1981 - 1985.

I was at the 95 granny and that was a special day as was the 99 prelim, but the round 3 game this year was amazing.

I remember the Mrs left house at qtr time as I was going crazy about how badly we were playing. Then the fevolution tunred it on and we all know the end of the story.

But after the last 5 years of hell it was a flicker of hope that you could see in the players after that great comeback.

!979 Grand final when Harmesy kicked the ball ran after it and knocked it back from row 35 to the goalsquare for us to win by 5 points. magical......

My favourite moment would have to be when the blkues came back from 44 pionts to win the 1970 flag. Jezza mark, Hopkins kick four and we won by 10 points. (Can't get any better)

I thought the emotion surrounding that last game at Princes Park was a very special day for the club. But for me 1995 GF was my best moment as a Blues fan!Front row behind the goals.Special!

  1. 1987 GF - I was 13 y.o. watching with two older Hawthorn supporting brothers..........oh the joy.
  2. 1995 GF - utter domination for the whole year.......such bliss
  3. 1999 PF - the happiest I have been after winning a non-GF. I didn't even care so much we lost the week after.......the prelim WAS our GF.:thumbsu:

eddie betts for the lead against the bombers rd 2 2005 and waiteys goal for his dad against melbourne

99 Prelim for me, walking out of the G watching all those scum supporters in agony...
95 was awesome and no disrespect to a GF but it was expected and we pumped them. The Prelim though was just absolute gold for every reason possible.

I have many fond memories but to be honest one that stands out and will remain in my memory until we are a force again, was in round 2 2004 when we smashed the cats by 9 goals , followed by our 8 goal win against the eagles when we kept them goalless for a half. The reason for these are because it was the last night we really owned a team on our beloved home soil. God i miss that ground..

There are so many moments when the blues have really delivered for me....

Had a similar experience with my red & black loving brother who all day had been quiet, started furiously texting me during the 3rd quarter. Seeing Fraser dump that prick Wallis in the dirt was just beautiful. For all the Red knockers that goal from outside 50 in the dying minutes was the stuff of legend :thumbsu:
