I am deciding between two laptops, both by ASUS. N53SV and N55SF. I will use this for autoCAD, 3D modelling/rendering etc.
both have i7 2630QM, 8gb RAM and identical specs but a few differences:
N53SV ($850) has
HM55 chipset, full HD 1080p screen, Geforce GT 540M graphics 2GB
N55SF ($1100 might be able to barter down?) has
HM65 chipset, HD 768p screen, Geforce GT 555M graphics 2GB, a few extra USB ports
wondering if the older chipset makes the computer slower or any difference at all (not too sure what it actually does)?
if the 1080p is valuable with a screen this size or if the better graphics card would be $150+ more valuable?
thanks anyone who can help.
