Looking for help re: iriver E100 (2GB) mp3 player...

Hi folks, hope somebody here can help.

Recently I bought my dear Mum the above-mentioned mp3 player. So far she has really enjoyed it and I have rather enjoyed showing her how to use it. However I am experiencing some frustrations...

The major one is in relation to album art. Being the pedantic perfectionist I am, I like adding the album art when transferring from the iriverplus3 library to the player. So each album I have put onto my USB and taken to Mum's to drag and drop into 'my music' has had a jpeg included in the file.

This worked just fine initially and I transferred about half a dozen albums to the player and when these albums were played album art was displayed. But I should have paid more attention and written down how I did it because now I am having difficulty with it.

It seems that now when I use the 'Add Media Wizard' to send specified files to the iriverplus3 library the jpegs are not being added- I can see the list of mp3's that have been added but the jpegs are not there. As hard as I try (and I have consulted the instruction manual) I cannot get the relevant jpegs to be included when I 'add media' to iriverplus3. They are all sitting in the 'photos' section of iriverplus3 but I cannot drag and drop them and don't how to get them in with the album mp3's.

If I may push my luck by asking another couple of things:

What is the quickest way of deleting albums from both the player and the iriverplus3 library? I don't know how Mum did it, but in the 'music' section of the player under 'albums' Mum has somehow got the words 'Norah Jones' there 12 times (representing each of the 12 songs on the album!!) I would like to get rid of that and just have the title in 'albums' section i.e 'Feels Like Home' (the name of the album), with Norah Jones listed just the once in the 'artists' section (as standard).

Also how does one alphabetize the names listed under 'artist' section of the player in the 'music' section?

If anyone can help me resolve any of these issues it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

When you fast-forward in yours during a song, does its speed of fast-forwardness increase the longer you press the button, or does it FF at the same, slow pace? Mine takes aaaaaages to fast-forward through long audio files.

Also, mine doesn't have a shuffle option - what is the deal with that?

Hi there fairdinkum, the fast-forward function is something I have not yet checked on Mum's iriver.

In relation to my original query I have managed to hunt down a method of adding the jpegs, albeit an unwieldy time-consuming method where I have to add the jpeg individually to each song- blowed if I can remember how I did it originally!

Cannot work out how to delete playlists/songs from the iriverplus3 library. Guide says right-click and choose delete but delete is 'greyed out'. Nor have I worked out how to place the playlists that are on the device in alphabetical order. I emailed iriver with these queries a couple of weeks ago but they did not bother to reply.

So my summation about the iriver E100 would be that for it's price it is a nifty and smart-looking mp3 player, but product support is somewhat lacking!
