I thought Geelong couldn't play any worse then they did last week against the Western Bulldogs, however I was proved wrong today... we were absolutely disgraceful. :(

Unfortunately, this could be a very long season unless the young Cats can turn things around and fast.

We weren't as bad as last week. Anyway, we were within 2 goals for most of the match. But still, very poor! :(

Go Cats!! :)

The fact we were within 2 goals for most of the day could be a positive thing considering how pathetic we are playing, but when you're 0-2 after playing 2 teams we should have beaten, it's pretty hard to be in a happy mood about our chances this season.

But most Collingwood supporters are viewing next week with a lot of trepidation , Cats seem to beat the Pies no where each team is placed on the ladder ....

True.

However, we haven't played this badly in a very long time. I'm talking back in the John Devine days.

And what's worse is that there's absolutely no reason for it. :(

I don't think we were as bad as last week.A few straighter kicks and it could've been close.A few players not kicking to the opposition and we may have won.

Well, I am personally worried about this game. The Cats are supposed to be an exciting young team, however I haven't seen their rd 1 or 2 efforts and it sounds like I'm lucky I haven't!

For Geelong to beat the Carring Bush next week, we would need to come out and play proper football, attacking, fast and with very few skill errors.... something we are yet to do in 2003.

I haven't seen either game. Probably a good thing, if I had there would be holes in the wall. Got the satellite in the ground now I'm just waiting for the Austar guy to get out here. If we don't improve before then I fear for my possessions.

As a Kangaroo supporter I did not think we played very well either, there was a fair bit of pressure out there but there were alot of unforced errors and passages of play that were comical on both sides.

We always struggle with small zippy forwards and it looked like Ablett jnr was going to have another day out early on, he was inaccurate and dropped his head a bit.

It felt to me that there was not alot of confidence in eachother for the Geelong players and the delivery to the forward line made it much easier to defend.

I don't think Geelong is anywhere near as bad as their past two performances. I have seen Collingwood play both games and I think if Geelong comes our and attacks and plays confident and aggressive running football then Geelong will win.

Collingwood will play a similar style of play that we did this week and on paper there is not much in between the two sides in terms of quality.

I am tipping Geelong to beat Collingwood in what is expected to be an upset given the current forms. I just think Geelong can turn it around and has the ability to beat Collingwood.

Why don't we just play like we did in the pre season? Three wins from four starts. That was much better football that what we're seeing in the regular season. And this week we can go for some pay back against the Pies.

I just reckon we're not playing well in the regular season because the pressure has gotten to us, whereas in the pre season competition there was no pressure at all, therefore a better performance.

That's all good and well, but what happens when and if we make the finals and the pressure goes up even more?? Our players need to develop consistency where they perform to a certain level regardless of the situation. At the moment, there is far to big a gap between our best and our worst, something which is common with young teams but must be improved on if we're to even make the finals.
