A rumor that a few blokes were having a beer? Are you serious?
Thats what the person said. Clearly he's annoyed. Players are allowed to have relaxation time.

I think that’s more to do with their young players having senior teammates they can rely on in a system they all understand and have played together for years. Vlaustin almost single-handedly held them together this weekend. Our only good senior players are imports who are still trying to gel themselves.I appreciate this perspective. I really do. And of course there is a completely reactive and shameless change of views that can snap quickly and then return and then return back to amongst the shithouse punditry.
BUT
Richmond are younger, MUCH more talented, have a system that is easily defined (and will falter at times, for sure). But most stark by comparison was the vigor and aggression and confidence. The mass of talented, sharp young players in comparison to ours is just depressing.
In another thread it turned out it was a player’s birthday. No-one here cared even before that. Sam F is an atrocious attention seeker. Is there any truth to this post or just a rumour?
For the first time ever on Friday I had a fleeting thought "maybe I should adopt a 2nd team" which felt like a gross thought. Some just are starting to not care

Thanks for that, Master 'Alastair Clarkson' Yoda.

Airy fairy optimism leads to a failure in standards. A failure in standards leads to apathy. Apathy leads to subpar effort. Subpar effort leads to suffering

I know. I'm wilfully having a go at a fictional characterIt was a joke

Since our season is over yet AGAIN maybe a fear of GOD should be put into the players and especially certain players who think I won’t be dropped no matter how bad I play.I might have a short memory, but I do not recall multiple 'bullshit' chants from any fanbase. North fans are the loudest they've been in probably a decade. We're amped up and the players are listless. It's a mind boggling contrast. Either the coaches are totally incompetent or their messages are falling on deaf ears.
It does not have to click at all. We've declined and declined and the gradient has just steepened last weekend. If we were rubbish with 8k crowds, sure. But the fans all feel like this is our time for a natural uptick, turning up and throwing their full support behind the club, and the players aren't having a bar of it.
Our future hangs by a thread. It's the most bizarre phenomenon
Most likely for Logues birthday. He's was on the 13th April...In another thread it turned out it was a player’s birthday. No-one here cared even before that. Sam F is an atrocious attention seeker.
Agree. However look at the breakdown of quarters. Subtract the 4th against godees and we have been very ordinary.Richmond passed us in Round 1. Then they were rubbish for weeks and we roared past them by beating Melbourne. Now they’ve passed us again because they won again. It must be exhausting thinking this every time another battling club wins or almost wins. Opposition, venue, player availability, so many things feed into performance each week, no single game says that much.
Mine going into our renno.

Working bee cavietIn the immortal words …
“Everybody stay at Koshi’s place”
It was bloody brutal Friday. It’s beyond frustrating to see us do the same thing week in week out with a bunch of players set up to fail.
Our mix is way off with too many one paced, non defensively minded footballers. Tucker, Stephens, McDonald etc, need to be dropped to improve our speed around the ball and improve defensive intensity.
Our zone on kick outs is beyond embarrassing. We sit back to far and allow opposition to run in out and give up easy kicks. The way Carlton switched the ball and we have them overlap was just ridiculous because of our zone sitting deep and inviting them to pick us apart.
A lot of our problem I believe come down to selection mix, slight adjustments defensively and just pure effort.
So, just about everything…
